wow...the angst and heartwrenching emotional ride of this story. kinda sad that their ending is already established in the prologue. but the chara development, plot development has a lot of potential.

ch. 2 damn tan seme and albino uke are disgusting af. FCKING SELFISH SCUMS. aaron, don't forgive them, tbh how could any rational and sentient being forgive this sort of deception. such a damn pity I cant give this 0 stars.

really really really hate the ML. he's arrogant, abusive, self-entitled, violent, emotionally immature scum (the author clearly doesn't know what a leader of a company should look like. I think it's only for convenience- like why the scheming bitch is so hung up on him, how he'll be able to find the truth). period. doesn't deserve the MC. it's frustrating how that two-faced bitch is playing everyone like a fool (actually some people had already seen through this bitch but doesn't even tell ml until after the divorce). during the pairing's marriage, mc suffered so much, yet after the divorce, some people want mc to reunite with ml, so sickening! it's honestly astonishing how dimwitted and stupid the characters are- especially ml, like he's so blind that a blind person would be able to see better than him! he's so dumb his IQ is in the negatives! regarding the side ml's family: like did they think mc was such a mindless fool that he'll just tolerate all that abuse? if they just told ml the truth, all this heart-wrenching drama wouldn't have happened! regarding tang shuo (I remember his name cuz he's the only chara I like in this shit of a story): he's soo lovely...!

the framing, storytelling isn't very smooth and makes the story boring. the mc is useless, but it's realistic. the mother is useless as well (there's a difference between being gentle and a doormat, and she's the latter), not sure why she had this much screentime if she's just gonna die again. anyways, I expected mc to go through a personality change after such stimulation and frustration of how powerless she is, but I see no significant change, except that she is more proactive (her IQ is the same), and her resolve to escape benjamin and find her father grew, but that's it. I thought she'll resent her father, but she's really softhearted. I thought after losing her most important existence, she'll become apathetic, but she cries a lot. She's not very fleshed out, so she's sorta lackluster. maybe it's just the art style, but I can't really empathize with her.

I can tell he's the ml, 1) after regaining her memories, she has no feelings of disgust or resentment, in fact, she was anticipative of him. if she had those said feelings, it would a lot harder for romance to develop. I don't think her character is unreasonable bc she's introverted and lonely, thus, emotionally weak to handsome men who help her. I mean, who isn't? it's totally natural to become so damn dependent on him, even if he's cold and neglectful, it's fine! you, your heart, and your body belong to him, so you don't get to have a sense of individualism and identity, or be allowed to feel angry! even right before her death, she was thinking of not damaging his reputation. fck ...fcking exasperating as hell how women are portrayed like that. bc her self-esteem is so damn low, she can't get mad at him or fight back... shes subconsciously always thinking about how to please him (ig that's why she didn't kick his balls when he was raping her). 2) apparently, he's was in love with her 3) apparently, the whole angsty drama was merely a big misunderstanding. I seriously hate redemption arcs. maybe cuz I'm petty, I think your source of misery should be repaid 2x over. but with this kind of softhearted mc, I bet it would only take ~6 ch for her to blush and feel shy towards him, and after the cleared up of the misunderstanding for her to fully accept him again, totally disregarding his previous coldness. 4) he didn't treat her so badly that he couldn't be forgiven. in our perspective, he did all the things a bad husband would do- rape, cheat, neglect, emotional deprivation- but he didn't cross the line, such as abusing her, or killing her. sigh, I really hate how authors draw the line there, and, in addition, he had loved her, so it makes the ml redeemable... but I don't care if you like her or not, I doubt there's a legitimate reason to treat her like shit! 4) mc is not totally faultless. she never stood up for herself (until the last moment, she had an act of rare courage), or confronted him regarding the rumors, jumped to conclusions... she's pathetic tbh. but the reason we despise the ml so much is that we read this from her perspective. ig the author wanted to make both characters at fault so the ml isn't completely undeserving for the mc.

very nice. it's hard to find a yaoi+actual and unique plot nowadays (there are too many stories with a bunch of filler smut and a slow plot, or shoujo-vibe shounen-ai. tbh they're boring and cliche, sometimes so shoujo that if the mc was replaced with a female, it wouldn't have changed anything). I like the recurring and diverse characters and their impact on the story's development (like, there are not merely side characters that talk). but as much as I like how smooth the development is, I think some aspects should be more delved into. like the mc's character was a bit lackluster. however, ngl Paulo was written pretty well, i think? anyways, where did father Domingo go? his relationship with teco? who exactly killed mc's parents? what do the latter know? what exactly is Misha? what is the boundary he is talking about? I also want to know the fortune-teller and clairvoyant's story? (like, it was so random! it just made me even more curious!)
