stopped at ch. 9. the pace is too fast. my reaction process: "ok so the ml is drugged... he's obsessed with her, nice nice...she wants to help him, ok...huh? he's already leaving? wait when did she get associated with the orig fl?...is a time skip necessary?...it's like nothing is actually going on...she's not even accomplishing anything significant for the plot...it's just filler..."

the smut was pretty good. the ml is hot but he's a yandere and the fl is clueless that everything played out according to his plan.

ch31. i cant be the only one who ships camilla x amy more than the canon ship

it was a fascinating read- sure it's unique and refreshing among the sea of bls, but when i finished this, i wasn't sad or creeped out, unsettled or fulfilled, or whatever the author intended for us to feel. most of the time, the plot felt directionless- like i get what's going on, but it feels rather monotonous and mundane than a thrilling display of different power dynamics (ig i was expecting a cat-and-mouse dynamic...). however, there was always a lurking feeling that this tranquil vibe would shatter any second... hmm, perhaps this is the tone the author was going for? also, i would love it if the charas were more fleshed out, even if it meant prolonging the story, to really get into the twisted psyche of the protagonist and ml(?). i like how from the viewpoint of society, they look rather normal- mc was a psychopath, sure, but it wasnt edgy or in-your-face, and ml was a seemingly amiable novel writer- it feels more realistic, and makes sense how the naive psychiatrist would fall for them.

when u end up rooting for the bitchy classmate antagonist u know it's a badly written story. ngl the added drama with her feels completely unnecessary to the overall concept. there's no reason provided why the girl end up this twisted, or why she fell for the father. she's disgusting, but the author clearly likes her so everything goes her way without repercussions. and the dude's so fcking bland. it fails to deliver bc it should've been a story about how uncomfortable he feels around his stepdaughter and how he tried to avoid her, but ultimately failed to do so bc she's crazy. but nooo, he's a passive and dense idiot.
