Vassalord
i just love stories that are inspired by real-life religious lore. the plot development is kinda messy, not sure if it's the translation, but it was confusing sometimes ex. chris's and rayfel's backstory... im still not sure why chris resents him so much going so far as to try to kill him multiple times.. like was it venting? for turning him into a vampire? for leaving him? if they just talked it out... why didnt they talk it out in the first place? also, i feel that the ending has the potential for a sequel with the final villain as belial himself, the one that cursed rayfel.
Akira
i love how detailed the background art is, especially the building where akira was kept... it was like the author drawn out a model of the entire building, every nook and cranny of it before planning out the action in which it would take place. and the romance is honestly pretty good. i love the themes of the rebellious nature of youth vs corrupt govt and humanity vs profound power, what could happen if such immense power was attempted to be tamed by mere humans, and putting it in the hands of children no less... obviously, disastrous results.
Epic Of Gilgamesh
ch 53. kinda like ajin's reconstructive ability... cool ch 152. wheres the rest of the chapters?? out of all the dead side charas, i feel that the blind sword demon had the most potential to be interesting?? i already read the ember knight and it's one of the best ongoing manhwas rn. and this prequel did not disappoint. you can practically see the artist's improvement in the art and action sequence and use of paneling. and props to the author for creating a epic prologue for his next series. the writing, characterization for multiple charas, and action scenes are all so good. and i found the romance between stella and mc to be endearing and bittersweet. the magic and knight system is well-established, making it a cut above similar generic high fantasy series. also loved how the author weaved the world's historical events and mc's past together in a non-linear but entertaining way. this is how immortal/long-lived mc stories are done right.
Half & Half
i mean, it was ok. not all that sad. i dont exactly see how they fell for each other so deeply. it's was all due to the sharing emotions thingy. it was only seven days. to the point that the other will be miserable for the rest of their lives without the other? not realistic. the ecchi aspect also repulse me. not my cup of tea.
