Another sequence
mc(shou) is quite unique, not in a good sense tho-- manipulative, lack empathy or feelings, having more than one sexual relations at the same time; and there are 2 ml candidates. so, it's kinda hard to predict how this plot will unfold. personally, I want a 3p. edit: seems completed at ch 46. overall, it sucked. the art was stiff. ml was ok. the other dude, that was fcking mc in the beginning kinda just faded into the background, so no conclusion on his part. need more work on storytelling cuz i was just zoning out the latter half of the story
The Abyss
goddamn the uke is cute but he's so annoying. complaining complaining and yet so helpless and largely dependent on others. it's kinda aggravating how he's naively falling for the psychotic ml.
Again
I'm not relating to the mc. not really feeling pity for him. his personality is not really established. he's arrogant and blinded in his first life, in his second life, he's meh.
Be the Actor
ch 25. woahh girlboss slay lmao. she didnt make a good impression at forst, cuz she was all arrogant like a frog in a well, but she changed, grew, expanded her narrow mindset, and now she's soo cool. amazing how an annoying chara can become a likable chara if she is written well. also wondering about her past scandal ch 42. Overall this is good. storytelling is straightforward, and doesn't meander. mc is op in acting, so thisnt a story about his chara development, or improving his craft bc he already did that in his past life. so now, it about becoming the best actor and making his mother happy, and by extension, making up for his past regrets. my biggest gripe, is that he doesn't exude the aura of a 40 yo man, who was even suicidal at one point. yea he is mature, but he more resembles someone who retained memories of his experience in his previous life, but that wouldn't make sense with his near-perfect acting that could only be tempered with irl experience. it could be argued that he's just acting for someone his age, but he acts like this, like almost the entirety of the manwha. well, whatever, it's hard to accurately depict what's it like for a person to regress to such a young age anyhow and the other aspects are good enough to overshadow this flaw. HOWEVER, while i dont really mind the potential romance with the child actor gal, she's cute and sweet, HIS HEART FRICKING SKIPPED A BEAT FOR HER WHEN THEY ARE STILL IN MIDDLE SCHOOL?? did the author forget he's a 40 yo man inside? like, i dont care if they were in their mid-twenties, but this is wayy too young.
Double
ngl their co-dependency was teetering on the edge of romance in so many scenes; the homoerotic vibes are palpable here. i love it. i kinda feel bad for aki; i cant tell if taraka actually loves her, or if he's just trying to find another "rock" to depend on, for emotional and physical needs in an attempt to distance himself from yuujin. anyway, the camera work and panelling is exceptional; so many subtle, in-between-the-lines meanings and emotions. when emphasis is necessary, the expression on their faces is detailed and intense and the scenes are framed dramatically. and taraka and yuujin's dynamic is so compelling?? this is exactly what i crave in psychological subtlety BL stories. i need them to end up together.
