tragic, painful, and frustrating. ml is an asshole, but he's a realistic asshole who lost appreciation for mc after his ego inflated. in the first half, i hated him, but then i kinda pity him bc he's so pathetic. the sml was the best, but it's unrealistic how fast he fell in love with mc, and how devoted his love was for him. but it doesn't really matter cuz he's there to serve as a foil to the ml.

the title really fits the theme. initially, we thought the disabled guy was the one who needed saving from the relentless bullying. but then we realized it was actually the transfer student(his twin bro) cuz he's actually mentally ill (but he's so cute tho!!). 1st arc: highlights the bullies and their bullying; 2nd arc: twin bro "saving" his bro by attacking the bullies; 3rd arc: their past and epilogue

bittersweet.

i dont understand tho, why did the homeless man try to rape the girl once he saw the fireflies? she and the boy were eating and cooking the flesh of human corpses. ...I hope the two never lose the light in their eyes. ch 14. the art is amazing, I've never seen a manhwa convey so much hopelessness toward death, despair, tragedy, and sorrow in a backstory. you really can't help but cry for all the characters. it was this backstory that explains why the little girl hadn't forsaken her humanity ch 17. what the actual fuck. it really does send a message tho. death doesnt wait for you to obtain happiness, it'll take u away so quickly and unexpectedly.

ch 9. LMFAO ch 22. holy shit? while remaining hilarious, the story suddenly slaps us with real plot(?) and some real threat? foreshadowing was there, but i could've never predicted that. it adds more depth to seemingly random things the author showed the mc did. ch 38. I'm freaking dead. ch 39. noooooo.... so close!! ch 51. suddenly hitting me with the feels.... plz don't die dude ch 58. kinda sad... he finally made contact with earth, and found a ray of hope bc he could go back to earth, but there is this danger looming ahead... another asteroid. ch 60. oh u must be kidding me. tho, props to the author for turning this silly story into a dramatic one, with earth on the line. completed. honestly, the ending was a rollercoaster of sadness, hope, sadness, then happiness. brilliant storytelling. such a unique and fun sotyr. who would've thought this was about an average man turned last-man-from-earth who selflessly chose to save the earth? every part of the story was deliberate, and it paid off, cuz it's one hell of a read.

Interest as fuck, I am excited to see how this will unfold.
