an extra star for the novel.

it's just more mystery stacked upon mystery upon even more mystery. so many mysteries entangled that it's somewhat convoluted. the suspense never leaves. the villain is a villain in the truest sense of the word. the mc, the misunderstood "hero", is literally the best human being ever... other characters are important. some have character growth. some died. the ending was...open. i honestly did not get it. some aspects arent really clear.

I'm so confused about the ending... so what exactly was the teddy bear robot? what crimes did the guy gesicht killed did? what happened to the robot kid he adopted?

is ch 249 the last chapter? who is the friend imposter? what about the woman's pregnancy?

oh it's the sequel to 20th century boys. since it was a while since I read the main story, I forgot who's the real friend and who the fake one. also, it seems the author incorporated some sci-fi thing that allowed mc and the scammer guy's ghost to travel into the past and meet their younger selves...?

glasses girl is the coldhearted and rational voice of the group. I hate her (edit: she got better). but damn, the concept is unique. also, the fact that the angels were the manifestations of the dead people in babel is so interesting. also, why you(mc) like the girl who told u to forget your sister?? also, the climber dude... he's hot. everyone else is kinda useless, especially the guy with the buzzcut(?) edit: the mystery of babel has been solved. the antagonist has been defeated. yua is alive. the subplot about the sister is resolved. but the mc's fate is ambiguous.

this is a masterpiece. but i wished there were fewer filler chapters that give us breadcrumbs about the overarching conflict. also, after 1000 chapters, heiji still hadn't confessed to his love interest... it's like that's the only subplot for them, which sucks. also, mouri is a moron. it's pretty frustrating how no one thinks it's weird that mouri always falls asleep when unraveling a mystery and conan disappears at the same time. sonoko is pretty annoying; all there is to her character is simping for hot guys and being ran's friend. she has no development or subplot whatsoever (maybe it's a romance plot with makoto, but seriously, they have no chemistry).

oh how the plot thickens...! scarlet is honestly the best chara; connie can get annoying sometimes with her naivite, but she is a cutie. the airhead count (the ml) is there.
