Saihate no Paladin
mary + blood are so cute. i hope they find each other and get married in their next life this is sooo good! it's heartwarming, wholesome, touching and moving, etc. the side characters are great, there's none of that cartoonish evil characters, the worldbuilding is amazing. the mc's enemy, stagnate, is very interesting- he's evil yet also mercifrul cuz he loves humans. also, the bromance is good.

the pacing is faster than the novel's.
Archmage Transcending Through Regression
i just love a bold and cheeky mc, who at the same time, has the rationale to set aside his grudges for the bigger picture. and the banter with his father and butler, who are more fleshed out than some other charas of their archetype of this genre, is refreshing af.
Helmut: The Forsaken Child
i was a bit disappointed with how his relationship with elago and darien was portrayed. it made it seem that elago was just a plot device rather than a guardian, a parental figure. i mean, elago definitely did his part, but mc's response made their connection seem lackluster and downplayed. made me feel nothing. i mean, elago taught him how to hunt, speak, interacted with him when he didn't have to, and watched over him for all those years... and, mc, whom i have no idea of his age, just wanted to leave just like that without any strong reason for it

The Player Hides His Past
it's entertaining and the art is nice, but like so many other manhwas, it suffers from a lack of depth and intricacy- like the concepts of magic, skill, and alchemy: what are the core differences that make combining two cause "estrangements" and "unnecessities"? the concept of "ignition" which is a combination of science and magic is barely explained and then suddenly mc is able to use it... fr looks like an asspull. even if we the readers vaguely get it, u really have to clearly explain the limitations so that whatever u come up with doesn't look like an ass-pull. anyway, im also astonished and disappointed that despite being 4th in ranking the magician is not as smart as i thought. it's the typical case of making mc seem like a genius by making everyone else an idiot (but it's not like he's that smart either). for example, the concept of reverting objects back to their original form is not really that original, so i imagine that anyone who is an alchemist saw that would understand vaguely his power at least. and he also said that if he uses "magic" uses up less mana instead of "skill", but isn't "alchemy" a category of "skill"? can u just create skills (like what mc did)? why does everybody assume a player can only use one concept? like no one has any creativity...
