Regressor instructional manual
it's another interesting plot with a smart mc but, like, is it really necessary to discard all of your humanity just to survive..? well, I guess he thinks he has no choice but to be a total trashy scum who uses others because of his utter trash talent. but seriously, just how terrible was his past that he became like this? or was there any in the first place?
I Love Your Character
the premise sounds good but the development/pacing/framing in the manhua is kinda...off. I feel like some scenes should've had more emphasis, and it wasn't necessary to complete a full page of their looks when they did nothing significant (like looking at each other but they're not even gonna do anything). I think some details in the novel are skipped/cut off as well. it gives the impression of trying to minimize the manhua to scenes that are most prominent in the novel, but making it up with good art. idk how to explain it. it's just lackluster. i mean, I remember what happened so far, but nothing seems to stand out. it's just like a summary, rather of a story.
Song of the Sky Walkers
a historical cultivation manhua featuring an fl that's actually good! most of manga/manhua/manhwa I've read about a swordsman fl usually skip the process of their journey. fl is interesting. she was forced to grow up and shred away her naive innocence after tragedy strikes (it made me cry...), becoming more mature and strong. plot-wise, this is good. the first arc was the growing-up process and sets the stage for the future, the second so far (ch64) is finding fl's brother. the characters are diverse and not just 1-D idiots (the dark-skinned girl is seriously gorgeous). ngl I was somewhat expecting a slice-of-life shoujo-vibe story, but the angsttt...! I've read so many poor-quality manhua that I'm seriously happy to find one of good quality...
The Time of the Terminally Ill Extra
mc...how should is say this? she's kinda overreacting over things WE ALL have to deal with at some point in our life? well, trying to paint yourself as so miserable that you run away without telling your parents of your disease when they arent complete assholes is kinda hard to do. making the mudane things into this super tragic family situation....geez, she's such a teenager...maybe she is a teenager? anyway, the ml is bland and I cant say well-rounded. he's sweet and all, but most of his thoughts revolve around mc? like getting to see his ambition or work-related thoughts or actions would be nice? and also, I don't know what he sees in her. she's not very impressive or notable mc. from what I've seen so far, I can surmise that this is a healing and finding love story. ig romantic love is the easiest to write as a solution for lack of family love. *sighhh*....how boring and unimaginative.
Save me gently
beiguang pissed me off at first, but he too has a tragic background. he represents the crazy people whose past hurt them so much that they become "twisted" and have no qualms hurting others as well, whilst mc is the self-loathing yet pure type who doesn't intentionally hurt others. also, the ml is adorable! this is such a good angsty and healing story!
My In-laws are Obsessed With Me
interesting enough. but why is it always a marriage contract? didn't she want to protect her inheritance? just give it to him for free. lol I don't mind if she hugs a powerful thigh but I'm sure there's another way other than marriage with a powerful guy. such a convenient tool for romance to develop.
