Gokusen
mc's super strong and very protective of her students, even if they're rude bastards. she's pretty simple-minded and very dense. the romance is subtle but the ml loves her so much!! sigh, everyone would want a guy like him...
Kinpatsu Obotchama to Nihonjin Shitsuji
Sensei de, sekkusu no renshū shite ī?
meh. no depth. the romance was so fast. he sure didn't stick to the no teacher-student relationship thing.
Watashi ga 15-sai de wa Nakunatte mo.
fucked up, but interesting. like you want to see how fucked up this can go. the storytelling is pretty great tho; like we can see how perverted, disgusting, and disturbed the mind of mc is as he pathetically tries to resist/rationalize his lust, and makes me wonder if this is really how it goes for people like the mc? pedophilia and prostitution are not romanticized in any capacity.
Dear Gene
10/10 nearly a masterpiece, just to keep it safe. but it is one of the best bl mangas ever. it's a very beautiful story about two men who heal their emotional baggage through the comfort they bring to each other. I did tear up a few times when i think about how they will separate in the future. storytelling is amazing- it was a great choice to depict trevor and gene's story thru trevor's nephew reading a journal, as it added a touch of nostalgia and a sentimental feel. characters are realistic and 10/10.
The Perfect Relationship
the story is complex and twisted, but it could be executed better. for example, i want to see how they know the mc killed his son- bc no one else was in the room where it happened, and the narrative didnt show if anyone was near the scene to see what happened... also, it would be nice to flesh out the father's angst more- eg. adding more details depicting his conflicting burning hatred towards mc and his despair and love for his late son. overall it was ok, this kind of premise is interesting but could be hard to tackle so im not complaining much, but i wont be rereading
