Resurrection of the Catastrophic Hero
changed my rating to 4 stars. it's boring af and repetitive. mc is so obnoxious and annoying. the only sign of maturity is not being attracted to his friend's daughter... the bar is so low. the other charas are so fcking boring without brains as well. they either completely simp for mc or hates his guts, and the only in-between chara is his friend, who technically is on mc's side but he's not a simp. so he's made to be the joke and treated as comic relief that's not even funny. god, even when i do try to turn my brain off to read this, i would just be mindlessly scrolling thru this, not enjoying it at all.
From the Grave and Back
hmm the art is good but the body and facial expressions are a bit stiff. I thought it was a bit cringe when he says cool phrases with a cool pose like "ill make them pay a hundredfold" or "I take my grudge to the grave and back" or "...it won't be easy" and it was presented in unnecessarily large panels too ...there's a lot more but I don't remember. anyway, the plot was a bit boring at first but it got more interesting at the arc with the near collapse electronic company.
Return Of The Legendary Spear Knight
ch. 10. hmm I'm not really connecting his past self to his current self. he's mentally a middle-aged man, but I don't really see it, except for being more knowledgable, able to talk boldly with intimidating adults, and a bit more mature than his physical age. sigh, it's like his mental age also regressed along with his physical age. like doesn't he ever think, "I've outgrown wasting my energy on this hateful brat, and will not deign to engage in meaningless fights." if there was a backstory that describes the entanglement with the people he hated in the first life (besides his ex-best friend) it could make readers sympathize with him more. also, despite holding his mother in great significance, she's just a useless character to me. she's just there. since she's really important to him, i thought he would request the duke to protect her safety from the first wife...well, ig not. now, regarding the side characters such as his half-bro, the first wife, the annoying knight. it would be nice if a backstory was provided that would explain why they are terrible to the point of being so nonchalant about killing a nine-year-old boy. most characters are boring and flat. if you want a story with simple gratification such as beating his annoying opponents who have nothing better to do except provoke him, this is pretty much it.
Overgeared
ch. 5: when he was like "yura is ruining my life here (reality) too!", i seriously wanted to roll my eyes. typical immature loser with no sense of responsibility. your room is a fucking mess, your whole life is in a mess, and it's all on YOU! his only good point, his perseverance, is actually his addiction to gaming. after looking into the novel, this is 100% a wish fulfillment story. i don't mind an imperfect mc, but his mindset is especially important. he's lucky to get a legendary item, and for what?
The S-Classes That I Raised
the mc is more funny in the manhwa.
The Prince of Myolyeong
interesting at first but then it gradually went downhill. i am just so bored with doha's monologues about how desperate he is for mc's attention, like, pathetic much? everytime he comes on screen he is accompanied by his pathetic chapter long excessively dramatic monologues about how he longs for mc, like stoppp itttt. at first it was interesting and kinda pitiful, with doha being angsty over his feelings and mc's playfulness and density, but now it's just annoying bc it's excessive and mc is just unrealistically dense now, like how she does not get that doha have feelings for her after he kissed her neck is beyond me, and the fact that she didn't even ponder over it is just bad writing. the author is trying to stretch out their romance and make readers root for him, but it's getting dragged at this point. and to be honest, why does he even like her so much? she barely talked to him when they were kids?? i dont feel touched at all, bc mc never did anything grand or significant to warrant such steadfast love. biyeol it makes sense, but not doha. christ i just feel bad for him and hamil bc it's obvious who the endgame it.
