Also there are new and interesting choice of plot in here, first of all there seems to be a misunderstanding i mean the translation is bad but still understandable and from what i got it seemed like the Duke just gave her a separate place not because he hated her or anything and also the duchess too her stepmother doesn't hate her, it's just that when she was young Elodie was trembling scared af when they first met that's why the duchess don't come to her and decided to stay away. Carl on the other hand felt bad and is starting to change and care for her as a brother and learned from his mistake.
