Hate Mate
Hate Mate is so beautiful. This manhwa is deeply moving and realistic about the trials that come with loving and being loved. The protagonists are easy to latch onto, they’re childlike, and vulnerable and make the reader never want to let them go. I wish them luck and happiness, love. The main character, Bang Subin, is embarrassingly innocent and easy to read. He’s a soft hearted bastard that acts as if he never grew up, and craves affection like crazy, stumbling through life as if blindfolded. He’s whiny, spoiled and bratty, but strangely, not ever selfish. He’s greedy but he’s aware of his actions, and how it affects the people around him. He’s strangely perceptive to other people’s feelings, and treads carefully. Bang Subin’s heart is like a well that people believe to be never ending, and because he’s so open, they just keep taking, and taking, and taking. Really, he’s looking for someone to fill him up again, and somewhere to belong to.
