And he let's her because he doesnt want to hurt her anymore and thinks she doesnt like him. Then he finds out brings her back. And his other concubine daughter becomes crown princess. I don't mind the three marriages but he shouldnt have had a child with another woman no matter what if he loved her and she shouldnt have returned to be a woman. She fought for him and worked harder she should've had a higher status at the very least. He also shouldnt have just let her go, he is supposedly this great emperor and master tactiction but cant handle a simple conversation. The ending completely shits all over Paulina's struggles and glorifies the dude as if all her worth was just a marriage to him. Also the only time they have sex is due to a one night stand. Like damn dude fl fights for you in a war, you supposedly love her for years but not enough to change any laws for her or to truely try to woo her instead of a one night stand being the inciting reason for the marriage. Hes also super wishy washy and wont commit to wooing her until she has her child.
