Waifu's manga / #trigger warning(2)

Having to read a genuine rape scene makes you wonder what was going through the author's mind. Azumi Tsuna chooses against alluding to the mental and physical trauma, and I can't begin to understand this choice. I'd like to assume that it was necessary for their message to be conveyed, but I was not able to stomach enough to find the point.

there is no redemption in this story, it’s pure sadness and horror.
