It was sweet but I wish the author had made the emotions deeper. As it was, I didn't really feel anything until the end of the 3rd chapter when he died and, even then, I was only a little bit sad because it didn't feel like the author built the relationship between them while struggling against his illness. I'd recommend Rec- the day I cried as a similar story with more emotional depth- that one had me bawling like a baby lol

Now this is how you do a heart wrenching short story!

Kanemochi-kun To Binbou-kun

Complete | hideyoshico | 2012 released

This was really touching somehow! The art wasn't the greatest but somehow the character designs just made them more endearing. And the grandfather was so adorable, holding on to his love for so long! I wish I could have gotten to see more of his past and his reunion with Misaki's grandpa in heaven!

This was a really nice, touching read, aimed for mature audiences. What's the yaoi equivalent of josei, I wonder? Either way, it was beautifully written, the expression of Nakamichi's emotions were so vivid I found myself tearing up. Also, loved the nice bits of humor scattered throughout as a buffer for the drama. That crying face was hilarious!

This was a really beautiful and sad story. I'm glad they at least got to make worthwhile memories together before he died.

Silver (fujita Kazuko)

What! Never marked this as read?!!! I read this twice already, will probably read it again at some point, and I just loved it! Even though I just love stories that involve long revenge plots, this really set itself apart due to the characters' depth. I even found myself feeling sorry for Charles at the end, despite hating his guts for nearly the entire manga!

Soryanaize Darling

Complete | nagae tomomi | 2004 released

So I'm guessing they didn't lose their memories after all? But I thought the plot was fairly unique and well executed, even though the author did have that little hiccup with future Touya not remembering Maiko (unless she and Nagasei broke up quick?). But with so many separate time travel incidents, it's pretty amazing she only made 1 plot error. All in all, a solid story! I didn't feel anything from the love triangle, though; seemed thrown in just to extend the plot.
