La Mosca Manhwa

A little bit strange in some places, but really hilarious, interesting, and well paced. A prime example of seinen manga- didn't drag on, we got to see some emotion without forsaking the action, and little twists and turns to keep us on our toes. A really great work!

This was really sweet and shows well what a difference a father makes in a family. That Oyaji was way too manly- even his pee was manly lol!

Red River

Complete | SHINOHARA Chie | 1995 released

Did I never put this in my completed list? Oops! :p. What can I say about this manga to accurately portray my love for it? Words don't seem to do it justice. It's stupendous, just absolutely breathtaking. This series will forever stand in my top 5 because the plot, characters, romance is so well developed it serves as an ideal many mangas strive to achieve. We get to see Yuri grow from a scared girl into a physical and mental badass. The side characters don't lose to the MCs by any means in terms of character complexity and awesomeness. The plot is never forced along- the characters' personalities and interactions drive the plot rather than the other way around. I could sing praises for years but I'd rather go reread it ^^

Forgot to add to my completed list- whoops! Um...it was alright, I suppose? Though the story was fairly interesting, I don't think I'd reread it (don't really know why).

Togari

Aww so disappointed that it ended like that! Must have been axed. The series itself was pretty entertaining, though I wish I could have seen more of him living with accepting his evil but, again, there wasn't much time for anything with how rushed it got at the end. Could have been a fantastic story too...

NG Life

Complete | KUSANAGI Mizuho | 2000 released

This story gets a solid A- from me because it was quite well done, other than the fact that I wasn't too big on who he ended up with but it made sense in the context of the story (though it did seem a bit sudden). The flashback scenes were really sad, and did shed a few tears towards the end. I wish we had seen more character development from Selena- we got to see everyone else pretty much come to terms with their past, accept it, and move on, but he just kinda stayed the same throughout the entire series.

Really well done! Wished it were longer but the irresolute resolution did fit the story quite well. The plot surprised me quite a bit- I wouldn't have been able to predict where it was going in the first several chapters so it was great in that respect.

The Breaker: New Waves

Complete | JEON Geuk-jin,PARK Jin-Hwan | 2010 released

Of course it's great! There were a few areas where the plot got...kinda heavy handed I guess (the arc with the creepy vampire doctor guy was a bit off putting somehow) but I thought it was a great follow up to the original series. This one certainly had me crying more, though. More than anything, the author's set it up to make for a really interesting 3rd season, though I don't know if I'll still be interested 40 volumes from whenever they start releasing it, and who knows when that'll be? But I really do want to see how the story ends!

Super awesome! We get to see a lot of good action, great emotional scenes, sensible character development, and well timed laugh breaks. All in all, this manhwa really hits the spot. I also think it was planned out really well- I can't think of a single wasted chapter. Best part is, the sequel is pretty good as well, so it's like 2 series in 1.

Shinobi Life

I read this a while ago so let's see if my memory serves at all. I remember liking the story (probably wouldn't reread just because it's got a lot of typical shoujo tropes and once you've read it once you'll be bored trying again). It did have some interesting plot twists, though, and I thought the author did a great job tying together all of the time travel events between the past and future. The beginning was pretty damn funny as well, when he tried getting used to the future for the first time. I was really sad that everyone except Renkaku got saved in the end, though. I'm a sucker for characters like him who are nice with a hidden pain.
