Shinobi Life

I read this a while ago so let's see if my memory serves at all. I remember liking the story (probably wouldn't reread just because it's got a lot of typical shoujo tropes and once you've read it once you'll be bored trying again). It did have some interesting plot twists, though, and I thought the author did a great job tying together all of the time travel events between the past and future. The beginning was pretty damn funny as well, when he tried getting used to the future for the first time. I was really sad that everyone except Renkaku got saved in the end, though. I'm a sucker for characters like him who are nice with a hidden pain.

It's really adorable/entertaining! The MC is talented and just so taciturn in the most hilarious ways- the author did a great job with witty banter between her and Narumi. Even though I've grown out of the target age group, I still really like the beginning of this manga, when we get to meet the characters and watch them interact. Not so fond of the last volume or two just because I find myself too old to sink into the whole serious battle story line, but I did like it the first time I read it so it's certainly not bad.

Silver (fujita Kazuko)

Complete | penny jordan | 2000 released

What! Never marked this as read?!!! I read this twice already, will probably read it again at some point, and I just loved it! Even though I just love stories that involve long revenge plots, this really set itself apart due to the characters' depth. I even found myself feeling sorry for Charles at the end, despite hating his guts for nearly the entire manga!

Silver Diamond

Soooo good!!!

Meh. It was pretty typical and dragged on for a while. Read it all of two weeks ago and legitimately couldn't remember how it ended/main drama or any of that so it certainly doesn't make an impression. Luckily, the art was nice enough to remind me. Pretty typical stuff, though.

Otomen

Complete | Aya Kanno | 2006 released

Girly hobby lover on the inside, manly man on the outside, Asuka Masamune lives a difficult life trying to maintain a facade to protect his image (and delicate family life). Even otomen can fall in love, though! And fall in love he does, with the adorably delicate beauty with the flower like smile and iron fists. It started off as a fairly cute story, but dragged on much longer than it needed to. I think there are 30-40 chapters in the middle somewhere I never actually read; I would sort of come back sporadically, read a chapter or two to figure out what was happening, and then move on. So, honestly, to this day I'm not too sure how it ended.
