The ending sucked; it was sudden, confusing, and clashed with the rest of the story. The MC made a point to say he was in love with Yu at the end, but all throughout the story, even during the "climax" scene where he rejects Yu, he admits to just using Yu to make himself feel better. I also disliked Kazuki's character- if she didn't feel that way about the MC, she shouldn't have acted in such a misleading way with him, and about him with her friends. But the character I disliked the most was Yu because I could never believe his feelings were genuine. He just seemed to be messing with the MC for fun for the entire series, then got mad when the MC rejected him (for a pretty decent reason, I'd say) even though he was constantly trying to take advantage of the MC every time he got dumped. It was like some weird power play that he wanted to back out of once the MC grew strong enough to voice his own opinions/desires without being swayed by Yu. And then for his feelings to change suddenly in 2 weeks after claiming he'd "wait forever", just really made me think he was playing with the MC the whole time. The words of the last chapter didn't seem to flow from the rest of the story somehow and ended up sounding kinda cliche and preachy ("it doesn't matter the gender...you never know what will happen in love") so that kinda ruined the end for me. At least there may be hope for him and Yuhi (Go and Kazuki are def gonna break up quickly though lol)

Meh? I enjoyed the 3rd story (ch 5-6) a bit, but would have preferred more resolution. I do hope the MC ends up with his classmate if he's looking for love but as long as he's clear on the boundaries, I don't think his current relationship is too bad, especially as a college student.

I hated it because I didn't hate it. Everything about this manga just frustrated me; I disliked Yano from the beginning so having to read 70 chapters devoted to him getting the girl over Takeuchi really killed me! I also disliked the MC who seemed allergic to moving on/how obsessive this manga portrayed love, especially love as a 15/16 year old. I mean, let's be honest- what are the odds that an entire group of teens are still OBSESSED with their first loves 5 years down the line? But I didn't hate the back stories, I just think everything would have been better if Take won instead of Yano. He just had way too much baggage and so ended up being a manipulative boyfriend. Ugh, even thinking it over pisses me off! I'll go read something funny to calm down!

I vaguely remember reading this and not liking it. Not because it was a bad story- in fact, it was a great story, with very rich characters and in depth character explorations. Something about the situation really put me off, though.

Flow of this manga was a bit weird, made it difficult to fully follow the story sometimes, especially in chapters 3 and 4.

Read this for the first time maybe 7 years ago and never got the chance to finish so I had to this time...kinda wish I hadn't- I should have left this series as a nice memory in my head. Now that I'm older and have read it all the way through, I can say I really didn't like it. It's not as if I hated it, it was just really bland. I was soooooo bored reading this it was ridiculous! The writing was lackluster and a little bit cheesy, the characters were dull and static with the exception of the male lead (such is the way shoujo goes I suppose). I thought the plot was extremely inconsistent like when the MC claims she found out about her brother on her mother's deathbed but a few chapters later says she would only wear her brother's old clothes when she was young OR the fact that she listed her birthplace as NY but the first chapter shows her mother dying in England and not one mention is ever made as to how/why they moved or even that they did move...there were just way too many holes left unexplained. Even though the characters' eyes bordered on way too big, the art wasn't bad at all. Ending was terrible; if I went all the way to Japan just to find my brother, best believe I'd damn sure ask any guy I suspected of being him! All in all, it was a waste of (my) time but I can imagine someone much younger would like it. I wish I could get back the 40 minutes I wasted reading this though...

I have mixed feelings. The story really pissed me off, somehow. Perhaps because I feel like the uke just kept giving and giving and only got abuse and 1 chapter of good treatment in return? And you know what pissed me off even more? The fact that, even knowing all that, I didn't hate this manga at all. The art and plot were just so addictive I wanted to keep reading Ugh!

I didn't dislike it- though I did hate the couple with the sensei who fell in love with the MC out of nowhere. And I'll never wish for that psychopath Erica to be happy
