I'm happy with the ending; it was a pretty good end for a great story, despite just a feeew inconsistencies with the plot/areas where it didn't make too much sense. I also wished we could have seen how Angelica and Lakshri actually got together/everyone getting on once Sheila returned but...this end isn't too bad either. Corny last lines though lol

Interesting set up and good development in the MC. I think I've finally discovered the difference between shoujo and shounen (outside of the plot differences) and that is character development! In shoujo, everyone but the MC seems to develop, giving the impression that the MC is just a buffer for other people to improve. In shounen, the character development of the MC has a strong presence throughout the entire manga.

Read this twice and yet somehow it's not on my read list. It was a good story, it started off a bit slow (but enjoyable) and really picked up in the later chapters once we got to look into their pasts a bit. The end left me with a bittersweet feeling- I feel like it gave me all it needed to but I still wanted more. But a great story nonetheless.

Kare wa Tomodachi*

It was generic in terms of character tropes and plot mechanisms we've seen a thousand times before, but I still liked it. Maybe I enjoyed the art more than I expected? Or maybe it was the surprise of the age the author picked for them to do some of the things they did? It's like she had them acting more mature as middle schoolers than high schoolers. The pregnancy deal was also unexpected but...it's really only an OK story. The considerable misunderstandings and running around pissed me off as they do in every shoujo (seriously, who is telling these kids a perfect relationship just happens without work?) so I don't suppose I can be too angry about it.

Really interesting! Yagami Light- I mean Hiyama Ren (hehe) was quite a fascinating character but, like most egoists, failed to see the flaws in himself in his quest to remove them from everyone else. It had a great ending, too. I do feel as if I should mark this as supernatural as the author really made it seem like hypnotism was akin to some sort of super power/mind control.

Crossroad

SPOILER!!!! Like everyone else in the comments, I really had preferred her with sensei. It's not that I'm against her relationship with NAtsu, I just don't think it was ever healthy. I never really saw the transition from childhood bond into adult love, so it was hard to tell where the MC's childish selfishness/sibling love ended and romance began, which made their relationship really unclear for me. I don't mind that they ended up together, I just wished she'd really and honestly tried to go out with sensei and tried to love him, instead of just using him as a replacement father. I'm also not too big on when stories end with a time skip that shows everything wrapping up super neatly- like all of a sudden everyone's married and happy. It's the pain they overcome to become happy that I find more worthwhile to read so it's sort of like a cop out to just give a picture perfect ending lol. But, all in all, it was a peaceful read- I think it expressed the impatience of a teenager really well.

I stopped reading at 40th chapter but am not putting it in dropped because I'd finish it if I were less bored/tired. But, as it is, the end is pretty predictable, and I don't feel like watching the main couple flounder about for 7 more chapters just to finally date properly. Only wish for Zen to be happy with the bishoujo. And maybe the dad to get some comeuppance for being a perennial asswipe. But, overall, it wasn't bad. Despite the fact that it was built on a pretty shaky premise (who the hell goes to live with 3 strangers?), it had its funny moments. It did drag on (I thought chapter 24 was only a few chapters out from the end lol), but it comes with the territory I guess.

Going to You

I guess it's okay for one of HMR's manhwas? A bit dull and very little actual resolution but I'm kind of just glad that she didn't put out another 14 volume series that would have ended after 6 had the author not drudged up pointless side character after character.

It's sad but I'm glad I finished it. The uncle was still kind of an asshole, manipulating everyone else's emotions just to get his way. I'm really glad everything worked out with Yuu-kun though. Wish I could see their family life! ^.^

At first I hated it. The dialogue/narration was super repetitive, everything either trudged along at a snail's pace or completely sped through/skipped over scenes, and the story was just boring. Most importantly, I hated everything about the MC, especially the way she adopted this holier than thou attitude and blamed everyone else for her decisions. I was glad to see her turnaround at the end, though; at the very least, I preferred her when she embraced her own shallowness and chose to live the way she wanted. Still can't say I liked her even at the end, though. In all honesty, I quite liked Jo's character, maybe because I could understand her feelings/actions? She was neither a saint nor a villain; I can completely relate to her desire to on the one hand help someone who was just like a younger her and, on the other, hating the MC for thinking she could succeed where she(Jo) failed. And it's her character (and the MC's turnaround) that made me give this 3 stars instead of 1. But...I still can't claim to have enjoyed it, though it was a very new experience for me in the world of manga/manhwa reading.
