Normally, a story with such a lack of impact would probably have gotten a 2/3 star rating from me just because I didn't care enough to dislike it but this story is the peak of unremarkable stories I've read so far, and I feel it deserves some sort of recognition for that. It has a paper thin plot and the most boring characters I've come across in a while. The plot development was virtually non-existent -it just sort of coasted above actual drama the entire time. And the one possible source of drama was cleared up without much trouble (maybe it was an issue with the pacing?). If I were to describe it, it's like the feeling you get when you realized that you've just finished watching an entire TV program, but can't recall anything about it. Long story short: if you're looking for a manga that will evoke an emotional response, keep looking. If you just want something to kill 20 minutes...also keep looking; you can easily find a better way to waste time on this site.

Love Sos Manhwa

Complete | hwang mi ri | 2005 released

Yay for revenge!!!! Really, that was the only thing I enjoyed about this manhwa (and of course, the MC's personality). The romance aspect with the four princes and/or the history of each of them with the girl with swimming eyes really didn't matter to me at all. So of the 10 volumes of this manhwa, only 3-4 actually interested me, but oh how interesting they were!' Side note: I really hate the summaries HMR gives sometimes *read second one for example* It just sounds like absolute gibberish and, half the time, doesn't give you any idea what the story is about.

Ouji To Hero

It started out moderately interesting (I'd give it 3 stars) but the chapters 14 & 15 were so awful I couldn't believe it. The ending was so rushed that it ruined the entire story! First off, how did the author think it would be okay to reconcile 2 couples and a pair of friends in all of 10 pages? So 2 years of hatred and misunderstanding are gone with a simple high five? Did Hero ever take back his withdrawal? Who destroyed Megumi's house and how/why did she come across Hero and come to depend on him, especially when she liked Ouji so much? If Hero knew their feelings were mutual, why didn't he just tell Ouji where she was rather than waste 2 years taking care of her? I'm assuming her paid her rent too, considering her family went bankrupt. And the whole "weak body" situation just seemed like a convenient excuse the author had pop up out of thin air considering the Megumi of the past seemed perfectly healthy and we never actually saw her get sick or injured or anything that would cause her to become so physically fragile. Not to mention, this author seems to have a really bad habit of making her characters act cold as their only means of communication. Ouji acts coldly, then Hero acts coldly, then Megumi acts coldly to Hana for staying close to Hero after making that request, then Hero acts coldly again, then that random girl who likes Ouji ends her friendship act all of a sudden and turns cold too? ...what?!!! It made so little sense I couldn't stop rolling my eyes the entire time I was reading.

How do I say this? It was kinda awful lol. I didn't care for it at all! They never actually showed the criminal getting in trouble for everything, emotions were a bit shallow (when did the MC even fall in love?), and key issues were never really explained (how did Shinya first become Maya?). Just not enjoyable at all.

Just plain weird. I really wished we'd learned something about what exactly she is but I'm also glad this wasn't any longer than 3 volumes. Aside from a few exceptions, the stories were extremely repetitive so it got tiresome to read pretty early on. She shows up, guys fall for her and get super dark circles, ruins their lives and the lives of the people around them, replicates and then leaves. I did really like that one guy who never fell for her; wished the series focused on him more.

Yunohana Tsubame

Ongoing | Konami Shouko | 1997 released

Hmm...it was quite the letdown. The first chapter set it up to be a much deeper story than it was, with her losing her parents and accidentally sleeping with a middle schooler. But all the consequences of their actions resolved so quickly it didn't make sense (in fact, all the issues resolved so quickly it didn't make sense) and just made for a disappointing waste of time. I can get the comedy angle, but wish the author had tried to make the story at least a bit more cohesive- great comedy mangas are good because have a decent story behind them. This is just way too random for my liking.
