75.6 MC is a twice-escaped convict…on her way to a maximum security island. Her escort? The renowned pilot and war hero determined not to let her escape. Very well-done (and completed). It reads a bit like a Hemingway story, though, so it’s not got a lot of action. It’s also quite dark, so be warned. But I did enjoy reading it, and liked it more than I thought I would. 133 MC is the young lady of a noble family, left behind to die when the rest of her house flees in the wake of a failed war with a neighboring country. Only, instead of being killed, she somehow ends up marrying the leader of the invading army (a duke)?! So begins her new life.... This is wild - funny, a bit over the top, and quite well-done. If you can get past the first few chapters, it’s gets much better and ends up being a cute and shockingly great read. Enjoy!
The Destroyer Fell in Love with Me
85 One day, MC finds herself in a book she’s read…as an extra with an unfortunate end. So, she’s determined to change her fate on her own - until the infamous duke (who will one day destroy the kingdom) shows up. Pretty good, with an active and clever MC. She and the male MC actually communicate, which is nice too. I just would have liked a bit more contextualization within the rest of society / the world. Oh well. It’s a good read, and completed now - enjoy!
