The Art of Taming A Tiger
4.5/5 This was a good manhua, this is what I’m talking about when I ask for good BL. This has a good plot, good world building, interesting characters, good humor, a nice big cast of fun side characters that help make the story more nuanced, and scary ghosts to top it all off. The story isn’t entirely focused on the gay romance, it’s a paranormal/urban fantasy story with a gay couple as main characters and I thought that was so refreshing to see, specially in Korean manhuas that tend to lean heavily on the toxic bl tropes and the mountains of porn. It wasn’t perfect, the ending seemed kinda rushed and it felt a little anticlimactic for all the buildup it had, there were some loose ends as well. ButI felt the story had a good premise and a lot of potential. I really hope to see more plot heavy stories with queer romances like this around.
Restart wa Tadaima no Ato de
That was sooooo heart warming and adorable. It made me so happy (≧▽≦) 5/5
Restart wa Onaka wo Sukasete
This is so cute. I’m so happy, my heart is so full…
Dress Him Up
I really liked the premise, and had it been well done, this could have been an amazing story, but it just fell flat. I could tell what the author was going for, but execution was kind of a disaster. I wasn’t expecting much, and I could tell this was going to be terrible from the first chapter, and I still red the entire thing. I don’t regret the hr I spent on this but I do think it’s a waste of a great premise.
Mizu No Haru
This feels like if that Ichiko Aoba song, Sleeping among Endives, were a manga. I liked the mood and feeling of this more than anything and I’m pretty sure some things are lost in translation because it was hard to understand at times.
Kiss mo Shiranai Kuse ni
That was sooo cute, it was so adorable. This was exactly what I needed a cute short little love story, nothing too deep or complicated, just fluff.
Blue! Blue! Blue!
This was really cute. the MC falls in love a little too fast for my tastes, but it’s only 5 chapters so there wasn’t space for much else.
Okaeri Aureole
I really liked this, it should have been longer. I liked the characters and their relationship it was a solid 4.5/5 for me. I would have liked to get a liss at the end tbh
Unmei no Hito to Deaeru Koisuru Apuri
So, unpopular opinion, but I thought this was terrible. The storytelling was mediocre at best, it made no sense, and most things dropped out of nowhere. For most of the story there were literally no stakes, they both liked each other and were surrounded by supportive people. Then, out of nowhere, these faceless mean girls appear and play the bad guys for a chapter at the end of the story?? I felt like there was no planning involved in the story, and the writer was coming up with shit as she went. There was cero tension. It’s been a while since I’ve found a manga so disappointing.
