Enjoyed this, except for a few "Really?" issues - lol. To the senate: What do you mean not qualified? Doesn't divinity trump nobility? To heroine: "I'm a nobody" only goes so far. Once you start doing things that should convince you otherwise, it would seem the events themselves should be acknowledged, questioned and downplayed rather than totally ignored to hang on to a realistic "worthless" complex. Other than those two plot points, and wishing the Taharqa thread had been tied off a little more securely, I enjoyed it. As far as fantasy misplaced person stories go, I'm still a "From Far Away" (Kanata Kara) fan, but I think this is my new favorite historical one - I loved all the Hittite and Egyptian facts woven and offered throughout the tale.
