Well, it's off to an interesting start, and it looks promising (both in the art and story) so long as it doesn't become one of those manga where the the story is secondary to the smut. So far we've got a coup on our hands, but it's already clear the real villain isn't our hero. I rather wish he put more effort into saying so than one sentance (to her OR his aids), and I wish she had given that one sentance a little more thought. I also like that she is able to differentiate between pleasure and emotion at this point and isn't just deciding because it feels good, it must be love (an that he waited till they were married). I've got my theory in place, but its too early to tell if we are dealing with a predictable plot, or have already been thrown a red hearing. I'm leaning toward predictable at the moment, but even if that's the case, there is still lots of room for a satisfying story with twists and turns along the way. Here's hoping for a plot driven story!

The Desert Prince's Convenient Bride

Complete | Meredith webber,Marito ai | 2019 released

I can't say its completely original - kinda standard theme: Forgein child becomes the only heir to the throne and 'mom' has to marry his guardian to stay with him, but its also adapted by one of my favorite mangaka who really knows how to make a story flow and whose art is beautiful, but on top of it, we have a ML in control of himself and no BBV (Bed Before Vows) that we know of. Certianly none depicted. That's makes for an enjoyable 'The End' for me because I know couples that wait, are, statistically (based on RL), more likely to have a longer, more satisfying marriages.

Rescued By The Sheikh

Complete | Barbara macmahon,Marito ai | 2019 released

One of my favorite mangaka.

The King of Hot Sands and His Substitute Love

Complete | Hikari hanasato,Harlequin | 2019 released

Its not an original story - European woman taken to an Arabian land where she and the sheikh falling love - but the author gives the plot a little twist that's a little unique. Between that, the fact there is no BBV (Bed Before Vows) and the art, it edged up into the 4 star category.

Bride by Royal Decree

Complete | Caitlin crews,Kazuko fujita | 2019 released

I’m not a big fan of BBV (Bed Before Vows) or royalty romances, but i’ll make an exception for this one. I really enjoyed the FL. She was strong, and had a cocky attitude she never truly lost. The ML was your typical arrogant, traumatized royal, but it worked out well between them. He educated her, but she changed him. It’s just sad the author felt the need to include BBV, because the story really didn’t need it, and romances that develop without it are more likely to result in a longer, stronger marriage according to RL statistics.
