Orchid Valley Sanshimai Monogatari
One shot - first sister out of three. Others may not have been adapted; at least can't find them. It wasn't a bad story, really. Just not exceptional, but one thing I like was that they build their relationship the old fashion way... with their clothes on.
The Yuletide Engagement
The Virgin Bride
The Passionate Sinner
SUMMARY: Although she wasn’t the one who poisoned the Dr’s eye drops and blinded him, she delivered them and still feels responsible, so when she learns the reclusive ex-doctor - now living on a tropical island - is looking for a secretary, she applies. NOTES: I’m a little confused. A doctor blinded and only two nurses involved, but they never determined the guilty party and brought her to justice? The FL was accused by the other, but it would seem neither was convicted of this chemical assault. That didn’t make sense to me, but the rest of the story wasn’t bad. Liked that the doctor was so strong and independent despite his blinding. I can only hope, if I ever face such a trial, that I can be so strong and adaptive.
Matched to a Billionaire Happily Ever After, Inc. I
This has a lot of the features I think make a good foundational romance... a positive heroine who refuses to give up on her man, strong character growth, no BBV (bed before vows) so no unplanned pregnancies, an OW cameo too short to become oppresive, no manipulation, no toxic relatives, no misunderstandings, no unbelievably tragic back stories (well, the hero has some issues, but they are well woven into his character and not unblievable), a good flow, belivable relationship development (a little rushed maybe, but page limits often require that), and all wrapped up in good art. Been awhile since I could give a story 5 stars.
Hostage to Dishonour
A Special Kind Of Family
A whole Lotta love wrapped up from different angles here - good love, bad love, misguided love, twisted love, and the wholesome sort that tries to straighten out what it can. Really good story.
Ransom Bride
(5*)- Katheryn and Dickon were betrothed at a young age, but happy with it, until 13 years ago her blue-eyed beloved was abducted protecting her from pirates. They have spent all this time searching, and Dickon's father is ready to give up, but they get word of a rescued blue-eyed slave. Is it Dickon, and just who is the cold-hearted merchant who charges desperate families money just to get lost loved ones back? Will Kathryn ever find her beloved Dickon again?
The Stone Cold CEO's Passion
(2*)- Firstly, should have been called 'The Ice Princess's Passion'. The CEO's temperament was barely mentioned, although he did start out as a typical arrogant executive. I did, however, find the tale lacking somewhat in love and more so in logic. SPOILERS: It's supposed to be 'love at first sight' but he blindsided her with a secretary/ex-(but not really)-fiancée, then was concerned because she was upset? The perp (am I really supposed to believe THAT is an EXECUTIVE in a company competent enough to partner with the ML's? Maybe it was Casual Friday?) in an attempted rape are caught, and supposedly sings but the mastermind isn't questioned till much later? The wife is accused of taking physical prototypes only executives and upper management have access to, but the 'top-secret' info uploaded to who knows where is never mentioned again. And there were others here and there. It just wasn't a tightly woven story and had several loose or unused threads. I had a hard time enjoying the tale, but the art was decent.
