I not usually one to want to ruin a good reconciliation story with additional pain and suffering, but I'll make an exception in this case. He needed to seriously doubt he was going to get her back. I wanted to see him grovel more. And in the end, the question was not if she would have had the same thought if she saw him in bed with another woman (and I'll argue there is a difference between finding him embracing another woman and him finding her being pinned and struggling). The question is, after the initial shock, would she have had enough faith in him to ask what was going on before she left? I don't know about her, but we know he never even considered it, but in the end, just because he finally said, 'I love you', she completely forgets why she said she left... he wouldn't trust her. Even after the fact, he never even considered asking questions. He was quite happy with his presumptious verdict of guilty. She didn't leave because of what he presumed. She left because he didn't even try to give her the benifit of a doubt, and that's what he should be apologizing for, not justifying his presumption.
