The art was enjoyable, but the story was only moderately so. Another story that, IMO, would have been a better romance without the BBV (Bed Before Vows).

He wanted to take a break from their relationship and wasn't interested in marriage or family, so when she discovered she was pregnant she moved in with her uncle on a beautiful southern island. Her uncle died, but she stayed on to help his partner with the restaurant he left behind, and now the man who threw her away is sitting at one of the tables. Is this fate, or is he just going to remind her of all she lost? A pretty typical BBV (Bed Before Vows) secret pregnancy story. The setting made it more interesting, and I liked JET's art more than I usually do, but it there wasn't much else to make it stand out.

A lackluster tale of revenge with the FL caught up in the middle used as a pawn, guilted into selling her inheritance, bedded and rejected, accused of being loose, ignored when she wanted to talk... yeah, that's a wonderful way to start a romance.

One shot (2*)- I didn’t like the premise this whole story started on, well, two things. SPOILERS FOLLOW: Firstly the BBV (Bed Before Vows), and secondly, predominantly, his reaction. I understand he is desperate at the moment, but never once - when it happened or anytime over the next 7 years - does he ever stop to consider how he blindsided her and gave her mere seconds to make a decision that would shape the rest of her life. And IS there something wrong with wanting your parents and family to bless your marriage? He knows they won’t now, but would they later? He doesn’t even consider that possibility. He just paints her reluctance and confusion over with class discrimination, even though NOT ONE WORD implied it, and never gives her point of view another thought. Marriage is suppose to be considering what is best for the other person, and he never did. He could have told her what happened. They could have arranged a way to stay in touch. They could have made plans for when she got out of college, but no. He gives her 30 seconds to throw her future and family away and then resents that she wants to consider the ramifications if she does. His family got fired and had to leave the country, but I bet he’s still in touch with them. He wanted her to risk being disinherited on his whim! I would have thought better of him if he ever stopped to consider how he put her in the spot 7 years ago, but it would have ruined the plot if he was anything but irrationally bent on revenge. I just don’t enjoy stories like that. I’d rather have an actual basis for the rift, even if it’s a stupid misunderstanding, than irrational anger based on refusal to never once consider the other person’s point of view or their heart in 7 years time.

It’s cute. Both leads are strong, but have their vulnerabilities and all the characters around them are pushing them in the right direction. Sadly, BBV (Bed Before Vows) was a part of that direction when this story really didn’t need it. Other than that, the story was fun and enjoyable.
