Love Is An Illusion
I can't. This has a high rating but I couldn't stand it. It made me so uncomfortable. The alpha realized that the omega wasn't going to stay with him so he purposely impregnated him so that they'd "have something between them". I hated the whole thing. The expectations laid onto the omega just because he's an omega, and the acceptance of the alpha's behavior just because he's an alpha, all of it is bothering me so much. I read omegaverse stories all the time but this one has especially triggered me. Ugh, I just hated it. I'm like disgusted with all of their behaviors. The heat only happened once so there is no excuse for the rest of what he did. I'm irritated with all of them. I couldn't finish this. I started feeling suffocated because I know that's how the omega feels. He didn't want that baby, it wasn't his choice, he didn't want the sex either, but now he is pregnant and being begged by the alpha to give birth because it's "his baby too". The omega ended up giving in but says he won't stay with them, he'll give the baby to the alpha like requested, but that's it. Then the omega is treated like shit by everyone else because he wanted to leave! It wasn't his choice or his fault! Yes, a child is something to take responsibility for but in a case like this, he should be able to choose not to! Then he finds out that he's bonded to the alpha now?! He has nothing and nowhere else to go even if he wanted to! It turned out that he fell for the alpha and accepted the baby in the end but if none of that happened he'd literally be completely screwed over! He WAS screwed over! I hate this shit... You can't call this a real happy ending when the omega had no real choice or control over anything from the beginning. He FELL into this ending, no, he was PUSHED and then fell into this ending. Ughhhhhhh! HAH I JUST REALIZED THAT THE TITLE IS PERFECT FOR THIS MANGA. THEIR LOVE IS A FUCKING ILLUSION
Interview with a Murderer
Inner Beauty
Okay...but this was precious. I loved all the mystical elements and the background knowledge of it. The love story from the past and the legends. It was a nice read. Definitely has some of the pettiest characters I've ever seen too though, ughhh so petty, still don't like them... I must say that this ended very nicely. Not just the storyline itself, the author ended the manhwa skillfully. It felt like it was finished and wrapped up in a neat pretty bow. Lol. I could read this again. I love stories that include legends and memories from a past time. This is the first time I've ever read a story with Australian legends. It's actually the first time I've ever heard of them at all for some reason. I really liked it! I might end up looking into Australian legends later on because of this~
Addiction
I would've given this 4 stars instead. However, I was constantly confused about who was who in the beginning until about halfway through. Which is a long time to be confusing characters. I wish their character designs were a little bit more distinguishable from the start. It seemed to get better towards the end. The author slowly started to change the way they drew the characters. Also, in the beginning, it was kind of hard to follow for some reason. The placement of the panels or whatever were making it confusing to read. I wasn't sure which way I should be reading it. The organization was awkward, but that also got better by the middle. Alsooo, there are still some missing pieces. I feel like there were many more places that the author was originally planning to go with this story but decided to wrap it up instead. At least they threw in an extra chapter for Ho's friend and the other wolf guy because they were giving off the vibes that they'd hook up. I really thought the Author was just gonna end it without them becoming anything other than partners in crime. This could have been a whole lot better if it was more organized and if the author continued on. Overall, it was decent. I always love the beast/animal-human concept. I do LOVE how the author ended the story with the same scene as the beginning though. That was funny. Great way to end it. The smexy scenes were pretty nice too~
Wistful Summer
I don't know. I'm personally starting to get really tired of these stories that purposefully throw in so much drama and misunderstandings seemingly just to elongate the story beyond what it needs to be. I'm also getting tired of the third wheel in the love triangle staying the third wheel until the end. Like what's the point of including them at all?! No but this story did actually have a reason for that. I get that the focus was probably about how complicated the feelings that come along with love can be and so on. I mean, the author used summer as a metaphor for love over and over again so. Meh, I don't know. I think what bothers me so much is that I invest so much time in reading these incredibly long webtoons only to have unsatisfying outcomes so often. They are so good in the beginning but then fall apart somewhere halfway down the middle. Not all webtoons are the same of course. I'm not purposefully generalizing, but it happens so often to me -_- I've read so much during the span of so many years. It takes some remarkable, new, refreshing, non-predictable, and loving characters to get me to love a story now. Which tbh isn't asking a lot because that's what stories should be right?? I mean, it's like there are so many carbon copies of every story now like wtf?? I'm just ranting at this point.
