Inner Beauty
Okay...but this was precious. I loved all the mystical elements and the background knowledge of it. The love story from the past and the legends. It was a nice read. Definitely has some of the pettiest characters I've ever seen too though, ughhh so petty, still don't like them... I must say that this ended very nicely. Not just the storyline itself, the author ended the manhwa skillfully. It felt like it was finished and wrapped up in a neat pretty bow. Lol. I could read this again. I love stories that include legends and memories from a past time. This is the first time I've ever read a story with Australian legends. It's actually the first time I've ever heard of them at all for some reason. I really liked it! I might end up looking into Australian legends later on because of this~
Hidoku Shinaide dj - Lovey-Dovey
Behind The desk
The beginning was cute but I got bored about halfway through. I read too much yaoi. So many plot types are boring to me now. It's the main downside to being a long time fujoshi.
Prescription for a Lonely Boy Who Wants Love
Tale of the Yellow Dragon
I loved this so much for the majority of it. It was about to be one of my all-time favorites. I know I've always preferred endings that were realistic in some kind of way but NOT THIS WAY. My heart is broken, I almost started crying. I loved this story so much that I was hoping the ending would be joyful but it was bittersweet. So bittersweet that it's just sad, more sadness than beauty. I wish it ended differently and didn't end so suddenly. However, I really love the story, the world, and characters that the author created. This was a very good read, up until that ending. No, I'm just going to pretend it didn't happen. I'm going to pretend that it ended just the way I wanted it to. I don't think this is a manga I'll reread again in the future, at least not all the way. I'll probably stop reading before I reach the last few chapters, that'd be best I think. Yup, again, I'm going to pretend it ended the way I wanted it to.
Itsuka koi ni naru made
I LOVED IIIIIITTTT. This was just so perfect! It had everything I love in yaoi and manga in general!! It has been SO SO long since I've read a manga that was so completely suited to my tastes!! (The Kuroneko Kareshi series will forever be the closest to my exact tastes though) - Realistic story/plot progression - Character progressions - Realistic Relationship & Friendship progressions - Meaningful relationships with the side characters - Beautiful art - Childhood friends to lovers - Little details & quirks - Great sex scenes - Great at portraying/creating tension (sexual *cough* and otherwise) - So many age ups (Done Right!!!) - Serious moments - Funny moments - Relatable moments - Enviable moments - !! No stupid misunderstandings !! - Didn't drag out conflicts unnecessarily - Multiple surprising responses & reactions - Lovable side characters - Hints at side characters' love lives (actually some surprising ones) - Women aren't portrayed as obnoxious jealous b*tches that ruin gay relationships - Makes me wish that it was a long time running manga so I could keep reading it - But I also prefer it completed so I can binge through the entire thing - Cute but not cringe, makes you giddy - But also hot and mature at times - Kept feeding readers more content after the story itself seemed to be over, but the chapters were not random/meaningless & instead added a lot to the story I LOVED IT. The basis of the plot is nothing new but this was so well done and has everything I listed above. I just loved this so much. It made me happy~ Definitely going to reread this in the future UPDATE: AHHHH THERE ARE 2 SEQUELS OMGGG YAYYY #2 - Akete mo Kurete mo: Zoku #3 - Kazoku ni Narouyo
Hold Me Tight
I love the character progression and that Giovanni has a unique circumstance. Also, at certain points, he is so hot omg. I ended up making a whole new photo album just for pics of him lmao. However, this manga is definitely one of those that gets dragged out for absolutely no reason other than to keep it running. At this point (I'm on Chp. 105, but even before this) there is no real reason to continue it. It's showing them being super lovey-dovey and introducing unnecessary conflicts, etc. I'll still continue reading it though. Also, the art style has improved so much. In the beginning, it was nice but the body proportions were off quite often. Now they are much more accurate and the lines are a lot cleaner. Felix's overall appearance has improved too. I didn't like his design in the beginning but I like the way he is drawn now. From the very beginning, I've always liked how they both have a mature and muscular build, instead of one being smaller or more feminine than the other.
