Katakoi Opera
omg I seriously love the sister Beni she is so hilarious. I'm bi so actually I fell for her while reading this which is a huge first for me 0_0 but she's so pretty, cool, and funny, not to mention NOT REAL fml...anyway I loved how involved she was in the story and not in the pesky annoying usual way females are included in BL. She was honestly my favorite character in this manga, actually my favorite female character in the whole BL genre. Anywayyyy I'm both happy and a little disappointed with this manga. The pace was soooo good at the beginning but for some reason the ending just wasn't right? and too soon? The second story wasn't much, it was just kind of tossed in, the uke is cute but I wish the plot was more in depth. It was kind of just a oneshot. I have a feeling I might reread this several times in the future just so I can see Beni again....wtf I've never done that before. Does it sound as weird as I think it does??? Yeah I think it does. I'm weird asf. Ok then.
Toshishita Kareshi no Renai Kanriheki
I wish the prince one was it's own story and had more of the two messing around like in the beginning. I loved it. Then they just went and had them fuck in all the other chapters and sucked all the good parts about their relationship right out of it. I'd prefer seeing more of how playful they are, and how well they get along. Kinda disappointed.
Unfather
This manga is a true representation of "Your actions have consequences". Everything that happened was really all HIS fault. He treated them like tools and it broke them. Everything that happened to him was because of how he treats and thinks of people as tools.
Love Monster (mio Junta)
Ehhh the plot progression progressed TOO quickly. Within a day or two of confession, it's "I love you" and jumps right into sex (in all the stories). When I saw this manga it seemed so familiar for some reason. It's possible I read it a really really long time ago. It does have the typical yaoi cliches, gets super mushy, and unrealistic, while also moving at the speed of lightning. It would probably have been something I liked when I first started out years ago but now I prefer actual "plots", character development, etc. Personally, going off of what I read now/what I'm into now, this manga sadly wasn't worth the read.
One Step From The End
The first season with the first couple got really boring and I was going to quit this one but then I realized that the second season was completely different. I loved the second story. It was so interesting! I wanted Raphael to be the personality that survived but why tf did he pretend that he was a memory-less Gabriel instead?!?! Colin would've accepted being with Raphael though wouldn't he?! Why so much pretendingggg ugh. I loved all the twists in the second story. (2nd story starts at Chapter 31? I think) I personally, think season 2 was far better than season 1. I'm kind of completely separating them in my mind. The only thing they have in common was the demon with the book and the 1st story characters popping up. It took me halfway through the story to realize that the tops from both stories were cousins. I feel like the author threw in other random side characters too, it was confusing, like "wait...who is related to who again? and who is that guy? he looks like the other guy??". Other readers said the same thing in the comments too. I have an interest in characters with split personalities, especially when they are closer to what is accurate. This one had a slightly different twist on the disorder so it was more interesting. Although I liked this, I don't think I'd reread it though.
sefure ijou, koibito miman!
