Dark Heaven
Only read it up until chp. 65. I really liked it in the beginning and loved their story as children. This is the first time I've read a manga that involved serious topics surrounding religion, rights, etc. (real problems in society, the manga focuses on these topics through-out the whole manga. It's about their relationship, but also more about the turmoil, etc. that surrounds them in both their families and society. In that sense, it's really deep.) I would've kept reading if it was still mostly focused on their relationship, but I ended up getting bored with the drama so I stopped. It's worth the read because it's interesting, but I personally just didn't want to finish it. I would still recommend it since it's different from the typical yaoi and opens up your eyes to a lot of things.
One Step From The End
The first season with the first couple got really boring and I was going to quit this one but then I realized that the second season was completely different. I loved the second story. It was so interesting! I wanted Raphael to be the personality that survived but why tf did he pretend that he was a memory-less Gabriel instead?!?! Colin would've accepted being with Raphael though wouldn't he?! Why so much pretendingggg ugh. I loved all the twists in the second story. (2nd story starts at Chapter 31? I think) I personally, think season 2 was far better than season 1. I'm kind of completely separating them in my mind. The only thing they have in common was the demon with the book and the 1st story characters popping up. It took me halfway through the story to realize that the tops from both stories were cousins. I feel like the author threw in other random side characters too, it was confusing, like "wait...who is related to who again? and who is that guy? he looks like the other guy??". Other readers said the same thing in the comments too. I have an interest in characters with split personalities, especially when they are closer to what is accurate. This one had a slightly different twist on the disorder so it was more interesting. Although I liked this, I don't think I'd reread it though.
Addiction
I would've given this 4 stars instead. However, I was constantly confused about who was who in the beginning until about halfway through. Which is a long time to be confusing characters. I wish their character designs were a little bit more distinguishable from the start. It seemed to get better towards the end. The author slowly started to change the way they drew the characters. Also, in the beginning, it was kind of hard to follow for some reason. The placement of the panels or whatever were making it confusing to read. I wasn't sure which way I should be reading it. The organization was awkward, but that also got better by the middle. Alsooo, there are still some missing pieces. I feel like there were many more places that the author was originally planning to go with this story but decided to wrap it up instead. At least they threw in an extra chapter for Ho's friend and the other wolf guy because they were giving off the vibes that they'd hook up. I really thought the Author was just gonna end it without them becoming anything other than partners in crime. This could have been a whole lot better if it was more organized and if the author continued on. Overall, it was decent. I always love the beast/animal-human concept. I do LOVE how the author ended the story with the same scene as the beginning though. That was funny. Great way to end it. The smexy scenes were pretty nice too~
