The Villain Discovered My Identity
Why is this so good???? I thought this was going to be cringey with sparkles and pink hues but it's totally not what I expected??? I don't know why I felt the need to give this a try but I'm so glad that I did! It's not at all the shoujo cringe that I dislike! This is hilarious! I LOVE the main character! She is so funny and brutally honest. She says everything I wish I could say . Honestly, she is the first character I have looked up to like this. It truly is a first for me. Her views on people who talk down to others & how she handles those situations really left a big impression on me. Also, *spoiler* I love how the prince is falling for her while thinking she is a guy. He actually questioned if he liked guys because he likes her so much! He was SO ready to accept that possibility. He is starting to like her so much that he wouldn't even care about suddenly batting for the other team yasss that's so amazing, true love right there [I'm so upset, I typed a whole other paragraph but it got deleted somehow, I am SO UPSET...] *spoiler* (Trying to re-type it it's not the same) It quickly became apparent that the roles of protagonist and villain for Prince Ignis & Letio have been switched. It bothers me how Selena put so much effort into getting the prince on a different path, yet she is now trying to avoid Letio & thinking of him as a "sociopath" after realizing that he is now going down the wrong path instead. She originally thought of the prince in the same way though!? Selena has been trying so hard to help the prince, so why isn't she putting forth as much effort to reform Letio too??? What happened to preventing everyone from going down the wrong path & dying?? That is the only thing that bothers me, because that bit just seems inconsistent on her part. *spoiler over* I am honestly so surprised at how much I like this though?! This is the first non-bl story that I have liked this much. I've been trying to venture out into different genres more often lately and I'm so glad that I gave this one a chance! Still can't believe how much I'm enjoying it. I was laughing so hard at nearly every chapter It's just so amusing It's day one of reading this & I'm already on chapter 52. I think it's safe to say I'm invested.
I Raised the Beast Well
Amon is so pretty both as a child and an adult. Update: I've changed the rating from 4 stars to 3 because I haven't been enjoying it as much as I was in the beginning. I may have only liked it initially because the art style is beautiful and there are shape-shifting cats involved, lol. However, the rest is quite predictable and otherwise rather plain. More than anything, I find myself enjoying the art more than the story itself.
