Out of all the Manga I have read thus far, this is the first ‘adult only’ Manga that felt this epic (I’ve been searching for so long). By epic I mean that it had everything packed into it, as in: Romance, Action, Violence, Death/Chance of death, Sacrifices, Romantic Turbulence, Passion and Longing, Conflict and Internal Conflict, Scheming, Alliances and Betrayal, Torture, Supernatural, Super Powers, Believable Psychology, Trauma (both past and present), a Larger Cast of Characters, Several Cultures and Ideologies and a very satisfying amount of Smutty Yaoi (though it would be great to read a Manga that had both gay and straight relations represented - like in real life - but shown in the Yaoi form, where the “woman position” [though I hate that term] is, in my opinion, more likely to be more respectful and empowering to a woman than many of the ‘straight’ manga I have read thus far). I’m a hard to please on historical, studied it as University major (planned to do PhD, but became disabled instead) I’m also hard to please on witches, having been a Wiccan and very hard on the illogical, as I’m autistic (Aspergers). But the story line was so great and believable enough that when reading it I didn’t get distracted by, or even notice anything wrong in any big way. I hope to find more as good as this one, as it made my disabled, often bed-bound life a little brighter for a day.

Harem De Hitori

Complete | Hoshino Lily | 2000 released

I was hesitant at first as the steriotypical overly girly uke, but all of these were very good, but sometimes brief short stories: 1. The first one had the feel of an old folk tale meant to teach it’s readers a lesson, or like one of the shorter, lesser known Brothers Grimm fairy tails. Which, though containing little details, still leave you thinking “ah, wasn’t that a nice little tale”. This was actually my favourite, I definitely think it was the MCs humorous reaction to being able to eat sugar cubes that ultimately did it for me, I really loved how the reaction was drawn, there’s only one other Manga I can remember reading that had shock drawn in such an adorable way, but I think this one is my fave. 2. A very short circus tale with a small twist at the end 3. Another circus tale, of the circus at night and how it becomes a kind of magical brothel for a price and his footman. 4. A ‘canary’ (singer) locked in a tower all his life, made to sing every night for a night club and the seme who fell for him. 5. The only 2 chapter story and unlike the others has none of the fantasy or fairytale elements seen so strongly in the other stories. Set in a school at student body president confronts another student about his hobby of sleeping with anybody who asks. But instead of wanting to lecture him the president also wants to take part.

Otome Youkai Zakuro

I enjoyed both the manga and anime of this so far, even though it’s a bit more immature than what I usually like.
