Scent of a Witch
Out of all the Manga I have read thus far, this is the first ‘adult only’ Manga that felt this epic (I’ve been searching for so long). By epic I mean that it had everything packed into it, as in: Romance, Action, Violence, Death/Chance of death, Sacrifices, Romantic Turbulence, Passion and Longing, Conflict and Internal Conflict, Scheming, Alliances and Betrayal, Torture, Supernatural, Super Powers, Believable Psychology, Trauma (both past and present), a Larger Cast of Characters, Several Cultures and Ideologies and a very satisfying amount of Smutty Yaoi (though it would be great to read a Manga that had both gay and straight relations represented - like in real life - but shown in the Yaoi form, where the “woman position” [though I hate that term] is, in my opinion, more likely to be more respectful and empowering to a woman than many of the ‘straight’ manga I have read thus far). I’m a hard to please on historical, studied it as University major (planned to do PhD, but became disabled instead) I’m also hard to please on witches, having been a Wiccan and very hard on the illogical, as I’m autistic (Aspergers). But the story line was so great and believable enough that when reading it I didn’t get distracted by, or even notice anything wrong in any big way. I hope to find more as good as this one, as it made my disabled, often bed-bound life a little brighter for a day.
