summary: spinels are slaves. one day a spinel (Dev: seme-kun) escapes their confinement and runs into a wealthy lord or something (Rowell: uke-kun) and their meeting is like fate because they eventually find each other again and uke-kun buys the seme-kun spinel. blah blah blah they fall in love eventually but it’s not allowed and then they work to free all the spinels in the country and then they can be lovers in peace. review: the facial expressions of the characters are really bland. art is ok. story was good but i don’t think the author planned it all out so it felt like a downhill slide once they got to the point where the spinels were freed. after that it was just side stories and crap i didn’t care about. other than that it’s great :) rowell and dev are great. finished: 7/5/21

i didn’t actually read all of this. i’m marking it as read because i dropped it. i was just peacefully reading, like, “oh this is pretty interesting.” and then all of the sudden it’s like wait where is this going with the aniki and younger brother...? and then the younger brother fricks the aniki!?? INCEST ALERT i am saddened to admit that i read 2 chapters. it was fine except INCEST

this manga... IS AMAZING all the old bl manga tropes mashed into one with an amazing main character uke... i couldn’t stop laughing

comment from 2021: um ... possessive seme and cute uke who can’t speak??? my kinda thing thank you. usually i don’t read manhuas/donghuas bc they SO LONG and the art isn’t as good as mangas but this one i can deal with because possessive seme 2024: synopsis: I don’t remember the social status of the main character but I do remember that he’s mute (obviously). for some reason he ends up having to pretend to be a girl, and then being a concubine of some guy. I don’t know why. I also don’t remember what happens from there… but I do remember that it was pretty uninteresting. review: i was only drawn to this donghua because the uke being mute was kind of interesting. note: bruh. it’s literally been three years since I started this. HOW IS IT STILL ONGOING. like the fact that it is still ongoing is making me angry. why are manhuas and donghuas like this????? this is literally why I can never read them. they are always so freaking pointlessly long!!!?? I give up on this because for goodness sake what the heck.

1/1/22 Actually so cringe I'm dying skull emoji I dropped this around chapter 5-6 Dom/sub universe but I hate the prisoner x guard pairing. It wouldn't work in real life so it's weird. The prisoner (seme) is so gross and creepy. He looks like he smells, plus that haircut is absolutely nasty. The guard (uke) is so pointless and personality-less, I don't even care about him.

Dropped after two chapters lmao. Came for the sexy possessive seme smut but there was none in the first two chapters so I left. Story was the classic "uke gets auctioned off to pay his debt" kind. Too fast paced. Art was less than average.

this is actually so freaking good. it's disturbing but it's good.
