I am proud of who our fml has become I think this is my first time reading a manga with character development and following through to be able to see that development. This might be a little rant and imma try not to rile myself up but since the very start of the fml and ml’s friendship I was saying “I hope she says something to his mother along the lines of, ‘ma’am mind if I’m rude real quick but your husband is a scum bag and everyone can see that you deserve more than him so whenever things get rough come back here with rud and rant to us all you want.” I swear it I made up the conversation in my head going exactly like that. Cause from what we know including the fml the mother went insane due to the affair and just with those words that could’ve given her the strength to actually go through with the divorce before he locked her up and saved both her and rud. Especially knowing now as the readers that she was so much stronger than that and didn’t go insane from infidelity but from torture and abuse. However I don’t think that rud would’ve been saved cause with the mom out of the house ofc she probably would’ve brought rud with her but at some point I have a feeling that the scumbag father would’ve done any cruel thing to enforce that “tradition” on rud even if it meant tricking/ dragging/using his mother to drag him back to endure it. I mean the fml stated it so perfectly the guy was just a straight up scumbag who hated himself and therefore could not stand the thought of anyone under him enjoying life freely unlike his own. Ok now that I, done with my rant I hope the author doesn’t dumb our fml back down just to flow with the romance arc of this story cause remember she cringed to the slightest of things but she got over it by teasing the ml now that he’s “different” she might revert back to that and I’d hate it if that happens.
