Mayumi was such an ass to Hitoshi on their first meeting, but we see him grow to be more gentle and careful about not pushing Hitoshi too far. Also, Hitoshi does recognize and address his own Stockholm syndrome which was refreshing to see. The main couple is actually pretty cute together, and the backstory and characterization were also interesting. I really enjoy this author’s stories.

It’s hard to find a healthy omegaverse, let alone one with a beta as the main character, so this is a refreshing read. This is a fairly simple story, just two men who really love each other.
