Wolf In The House
list - masterlist, favorite, unique, 9.5+ 80+ Completely brilliant. Starts out when an ordinary man meets a fantasy. The beginning story of Minsuk and Bexan is almost an every day one, if not for the werewolf business. Of past lovers grown too accustomed to each other to move one when the flame has long died, of filial duties and the fear of coming out. Of choosing to support and love one another and spend each day together. A great blend of comedy and emotion, romance and sensuality. Then as we continue with our journey to help this husky find his way to Siberia, the story take a turn as we dive into the story of Leto and Ein. It takes on more of the tone of an action thriller, with secrets and pining, betrayal and bloodshed. Amidst the cold and cruel world of the mafia, something blossoms between Leto and Ein that draws them to each other inexplicably, even if it means their downfall. The longing gazes, the fleeting touches, the caution and suspicion that ends in a fight and clashing of bodies and pent up emotions giving in to their desires. A more angst filled, intricate, tangled relationship. Truly me and you against the world. Brilliant backstory. The teenage tantrum against the absentee mother felt a bit rushed and forced, but I guess it was what Bexan needed to see and learn for himself. A clever way to save Ein and wrap up their story. Love that Minsuk is so ordinary, practical and level headed. The grounding in our fantasy story - his first thought after being told he will embark on a journey to the snowy north with two werewolves is to clear out his fridge. Bexan is our whole hearted goofball, naive of the world but earnest and eager to explore it. Leto is our cool but willful strong man, quick to resort to violence and the most in tune with his instincts. Feisty but contemplative, both reckless and cautious and steadfast. Hurt but wanting to trust again, terrified of being alone. Ein is our calm gentleman, calculating but kind. A good man holding the guilt of the past but unable to let go. Willing to sacrifice himself for his love. A man with a mission. This was such an entertaining and enjoyable piece, and especially the second part is one of my favorites and hit all the right spots for me. I still can’t hate Yankee with all his flaws, a man who treats dogs well will have a soft spot in my books. I don’t know if what he and Leto had can be called love, but it’s true that he taught Leto the invaluable lesson of how to survive.

King's Maker
list - masterlist, unique 120+ season 1 is one of my absolute favorites, but season 2 was a lot more messy/incohesive and I barely have any interest to read season 3 at all. It really fell off so I have to take it off my favorites list, but it's still a good read. Season 1 can be a stand alone honestly and an excellent work if it was. Shin and Wolfgang's adult relationship was a lot different and more frustrating than I thought it would be, and not for the right reasons. I thought we'd go into what was hinted at the end of season 1, the curse of power on the royal bloodline and Wolfgang struggling with that and the want to own and control or with tyrant tendencies, but he's remained a good egg (the best!). Instead the drama stemmed from Shin overworking and overthinking as always, and while I do understand him and defended him, it was just so drawn out and overcomplicated for no reason. I wanted to see more of the romantic side and them reciprocating each other's feelings, but Shin is still too reserved/tsundere that it's not satisfying. He was a lot more honest and forward as a child. Then what seems like the entire drama of season 2 is solved so conveniently in season 3 by....magic... like literally created a magic baby out of thin air to be the heir. Very unserious and unraveled a lot of the depth of groundwork of season 1. The magic/fantasy element was there a little in season 1 and served to add a little interest, but the more they delved into the magic/fantasy aspect without really a clear framework, the more convoluted and nonsensical the story became. It really fell off and that's so sad to say bc I love these characters and really loved season 1. ➼ historical / royalty / unique plot / interesting characters / political intrigue / full color ➼ charismatic good-hearted seme x reserved intelligent uke Great writing with characters that you'll easily fall in love with - Season 1 Gorgeous full color art ❖ Mature version of season 2: http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/king_s_maker_triple_crown/ ∴ pederasty - not between mcs and not romanticized
