This was sad and beautiful. Yes the younger brother and ex are scum, but the relationship of the main couple was so sweet and beautiful. Mashiro parades as a slut bc he wants to feel loved and needed, so he uses sex for that outlet and is afraid to show his true self. Daichi is a kind man who sees Mashiro for himself and falls in love with him. The little brother kind of messed up Mashiro's life, he was the one who got all the attention from their parents and then got Mashiro kicked out of their home bc of his ex-boyfriend. It's not clear if the little brother seduced the ex or was assaulted, but the end leans more toward the seduced theory as he seems quite deranged and obsessed. Daichi sees through the little brother and truly puts Mashiro above all else. The last chapter was especially lovely with the line about Mashiro's transparent and clear beauty untainted by the horrible people around him and the trauma he's experienced, as well as his fragility as if he would disappear. Mashiro had suffered so much, and I'm so glad that Daichi is there to love him and help him heal, and show him that he deserve to be loved and treasured too. A bit sickening to read at times with the assaults, but the main couple's love was very lovely.
