list - opposites It was cute but not my style. Seme was kind of forceful in his approach and pushed uke to do things he wasn't comfortable with, which put me off. He is affectionate which was cute but overall it was meh. So re-read (or read all the way through?) and I still agree with my initial impression. Maybe that's why I kept stopping and not reading through, because I couldn't get into it at the beginning. The forcefulness of the seme and the weird hookup party?? didn't make this a promising start, but they're a cute couple in the end. But the plot is a bit amateur and illogical, he came out to his hs girlfriend and was met with homophobia, but how does that turn you into a straight player?? I understand not taking relationships seriously after bc of fear of getting hurt, but honestly would avoid people after that or get with guys. And the development of their relationship felt rather quick and shallow. I can understand why people like the relationship dynamics, a shy and innocent uke with a flirty former playboy seme who is actually really doting and affectionate. And instead of looking down on him, from the beginning he finds him cute and likes him with only a slight teasing dynamic. But the characters felt a bit stupid and shallow and the plot was frankly boring. The affection and skinship at the end was nice and the smut scenes are smutty. Overall I'd say overrated but decent read if you're bored. maybe 2.5 or 3/5 I'm glad some people in comments feel the same way bc when I first saw this comments were overwhelmingly positive and I felt like I was missing something lol.

list - It was cute and funny. Both are complete idiots and very much in love with each other lol. Tough uke and sweet seme. Uke is a tough guy who is openly gay, but because he's so manly he has a hard time getting partners since he's a bottom. He's been in an unrequited love with his friend who he thinks is straight, and he he always ends up falling for straight guys. But when he breaks up with his boyfriends, he goes to the seme and they have sex, but they insist they are friends and don't have feelings and are just doing it to relieve sexual tension and console him. But in reality the seme has also been in love with the uke this whole time and has been pretending to be straight bc Keita says that's his type. So they were both in love with each other the whole time, but thought the other wasn't interested and only wanted to be friends, so ended up as sex friends while pretending and hiding their real feelings all along. Complete and total idiots, but at least they realize in the end and get their happy ending! It was hilarious and smutty and fun and entertaining. Even though they are incredibly dumb, it was more just fun to watch them and not really annoying or frustrating at all. 4.5/5

I actually quite liked it. You have a sense there are some hidden feelings in the beginning but seme is being cautious and keeping up the sex friends thing. They’re both not honest but seme is a bit manipulative bc he is afraid if he is honest the uke will run away (which is correct tbh). Both had a bit of a troubling childhood that shaped their views towards love and sex. Highly disliked the gang bang incident, was so frustrating that it happened. Meant to be used as uke realizing his feelings and wanting to get raped as an outlet to not being able to be with the one he wants. And seme realizing he needs to be honest and feeling regret. But they tiptoed around it afterwards and really the same story progress could have been made without such extreme measures. Just let him get beat up instead. But other than that one point, really enjoyed the story and their progression from fuck buddies to lovers and the reveal of their pasts to add more depth to their characters. And once they got together they were really cute. Seme is the loving doting type and uke is the tsundere who is really cute on his rare moments of honesty. Would love some more extras of them being lovey dovey but the two extras we got were great. Angst with a cute ending and that satisfying pining and realization of love.

This was interesting and complex. A toxic relationship, emotionally abusive and not in the typical sexual abuse/rape way. Both parties can be at fault, though I do think the seme comes off worse though I understand why the uke is not blameless. There is just plain meanness, negging, controlling, jealousy and obsession, guilt tripping, near revenge porn on the part of the seme. Uke is persistent in love bombing even when turned away, then lacks clear communication and empathy when he gets bored and drops the other person like a hot potato. Though he was worse to the redhead partner than current partner. With the redhead he was basically stalking, with his persistent love bombing and inability to take no for an answer despite the redhead's clear refusal. Their relationship seemed to be all good though until he lost interest and tried to cut off his partner with no communication. But afterwards, redhead's violence is all on him though it's sad things turned out that way. With seme, seme was toxic towards him from the beginning so him cutting off the seme when it got too much is more understandable. Though he shouldn't have pursued him from the beginning bc he knew what the seme was like and seme had set clear boundaries and expectations, which uke's persistent pushy nature ignored. Seme's nature was explained as the neglect and lack of emotional warmth he was shown as a child, but less traumatic than other stories with this same backstory. It was definitely messy and toxic, but they seem to be improving in communicating and setting boundaries with each other and are on the way to a healthier relationship. They should definitely both get therapy, separately and couples therapy until they can handle it themselves though.
