Kill the Lights
70+ Interesting soul swap type story. Seme is yandere, uke is a military agent transported to the body of a trashy actor. Action thriller with secret agent type plot. Started with one sided hate from seme side until her realizes the true soul in the body, which was his first love. Truly a case of loving the soul and not the body it’s housed in.
Love in Orbit
24.5: this is kind of wild but very entertaining lol. It has some good melancholic moments among the chaos and comedy that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Lots of great smut too, basically just a friends with benefits situation at first with a very slow growing relationship. But even without feelings acknowledged, there’s a lot of physicality and affection and a high level of comfortableness. Plot is interesting and unique and I really have no idea where it is going to go. It doesn’t dive too deeply into the emotions or emotional connections, but maybe we will get there eventually. Thinking about it, it’s a similar vibe to the author’s other couple - funny with bits of drama and very affectionate couple. This one is more raunchy than wholesome so far, but I feel like they’re a lot more equal and kind of the same lonely people deep down.
The Beast Must Die
list - unique, unconventional 80+ A psychopath that’s actually shown as one and a murder mystery plot that kept me eagerly reading for more. This reminded me a bit of Death Note with the self-justified murder and cat-mouse chase. Nothing is safe when dealing with a high functioning psychopath, but it was a very entertaining ride. Murder mystery was really good, romance was ok but became oddly cute at the end even though it's not exactly healthy, but they're trying. Start was a bit unclear and odd, but I really enjoyed it by the end. Reminded me of a cat and mouse chase, L and Light type of detective hunting murderer, so that murder mystery plot was really interesting. And Kirin kind of got caught in the middle of it and becomes an accomplice. Does sympathize with murderers though and give him redemption without really having to pay for it, so he gets away with it in the end. 4.5/5

Run Away, Assistant Manager Ha!
50+ Loved it! Very affectionate couple with a puppy like seme and a shy sweet uke. Started as sex friends but they were affectionate from the beginning and it was nice to see them discover their feelings, tho they had an instant connection. Side drama about the workplace, but really enjoyed how it showed uke’s growth of character in that aspect.
Daraku Kazoku-ron
8: Oooh interesting premise with a cool lil kid and mystery history between the two. I like that the characters are given some depth, and their banter is fun. The kid is so deadpan and hilarious, but they’re doing a good job with her. Up to 8 now and I LOVE their dynamic and the storytelling. While keeping up with the fun daily lives of these two useless guys and the too grown for their nonsense kiddo Meguru, we get bit by bit some insight into their history, feelings for each other, and current worries and thoughts. Sentarou is a musician/composer who was in a band and now struggles to sell music as he’s been ghostwriting under his friend (former lover??). He struggles a bit with inferiority/insecurity about his music and is finding his passions again. Also he had a major crush on Touma when they first met which was ruined by overhearing and misunderstanding Touma’s harsh words about his band, and then finding him with Ririko. Still kind of has a crush but would die before admitting it lol. Also kind a a tsundere and naggy but a good guy at heart and concerned for others. Touma is a yakuza member who seems to hate that but isn’t really trying to get out of that kind of life. Seems like he was born into a yakuza family or something but has a bit of a complex about being a thug, but doesn’t really try to be better. Seems he knew or at least suspected Sentarou’s feelings the first time they met, and possibly also had feelings of his own that he never really acknowledged. Was unconsciously disappointed to find out Sen and Ririko were dating at the time. I think he kind of always admired Sen and his talent and passion for composing music, and sees him as this like bright and decent person that he’d never become. I think he’s starting to come to a realization about his own feelings once he realized Sen might have actually had feelings for him, so I’m excited to see how they progress. Some delicious mutual pining right now, I know the slow burn is going to be fantastic. Their dynamic is so fun and almost a kind of enemies dynamic with how much they bicker.
The Art of Taming A Tiger
list - 9.5+ 100+ 78: The relationship developed quite suddenly from what was building up as a friendship, but it also felt very natural. Very affectionate couple that is quite cute. Tough straightforward uke with a sweet protective seme. Interesting overarching lore about the characters and their backgrounds and how they are all connected, but also some interesting short ghost busting adventures. Good world building and mix of drama and humor. Felt like it was missing a tad bit of nuance, but overall very interesting read.
Boku no Papa to Papa no Hanashi
list - 9.5+, babies This was beyond adorable and pure. It nicely touched on some of the troubles of gay parenthood and Nao’s loneliness without getting too sad and always seeing through to a resolution. Good communication and wonderful parenting. Really adored this little manga.
Koko wa YES to Ittekure
Ooh this was a lovely little story, nice pace and realistic but sweet. The couple has a fun kind of banter going on and quite clear attraction. Seme’s straightforwardness and laize faire approach was fun too.
