Ambrosia's manga / #Unconventional(20)

This masterpiece is true to its gore/horror tag but also quite charming and humorous. The story is very unique with an intricate plot and amazing world building. A must read for everyone who can stomach it.

Murder mystery was really good, romance was ok but became oddly cute at the end even though it's not exactly healthy, but they're trying. Start was a bit unclear and odd, but I really enjoyed it by the end. Reminded me of a cat and mouse chase, L and Light type of detective hunting murderer, so that murder mystery plot was really interesting. And Kirin kind of got caught in the middle of it and becomes an accomplice. Does sympathize with murderers though and give him redemption without really having to pay for it, so he gets away with it in the end. 4.5/5

Harada is a master of the twisted and disturbing so most of their works would fit this list. This one in particular portrays a scarily realistic story of pedophilia and grooming with a bit of an unrealistic ending. Harada is an incredibly compelling storyteller and makes even the darkest subjects into intriguing reads.

list - enemies to lovers, unconventional This entire school needs major therapy. Every other person is abusive, a rapist, yandere, or a straight up psychopath. I don’t really want the main characters to end up together, actually I don’t even know what exactly I want but I do know that this toxic story is grimly entertaining and I will keep reading to see how it all turns out.

Rape and a very toxic relationship between a teacher and student who both need a lot of therapy and healing. The change in power dynamics was really unexpected and very entertaining. An interesting read with a hopeful/happy ending.

A prequel one shot that shows the relationship between a victim of domestic abuse and their abusive ex-boyfriend. A compelling story that describes how a happy relationship broke apart because of the ex venting out his abuse at work onto the victim, a vicious cycle of abuse. This is on the list for the second couple, an oddball stalker and the host who is the object of his affections. Satoshi is quite neurotic and Kakeru is overbearing, there’s a lot of dubcon and slight emotional manipulation, but somehow the relationship and characters are quite charming.
