64: it’s cute but kind of boring? Or maybe my expectations were too high bc everyone hyped it up so much. The main character is kind of tsundere we he acts like he’s trash and doesn’t care about anyone but is actually kind and benevolent and draws people to his side bc of that. This characteristic is kind of blatantly shown so it gets a bit old after a while of him calling himself trash when no one believes that anymore. Side characters are cute but the human ones are a bit bland. Also doesn’t clearly explain the relationship between some of them and what is going on plot wise, but maybe that’s the translation or maybe just me not understanding. I can see there’s an overall plot and while it’s supposed to be a mystery, it’s not all that intriguing. Also, the relationship between Cale and the side characters grows a little, but there really isn’t much development there. Most of them have a favorable opinion of him from their first meeting. His ga th ring ancient powers to be able to live a leisurely life later also doesn’t make a ton of sense, since he comes from a rich family and could just relax now. Overall a cute story but lacking depth and doesn’t grab my interest as much as I was hoping it would. Cale is likeable but also kind of boring and we don’t really get a good grasp on his past life or personality. He also doesn’t really face any challenges or need growth as of yet. Maybe it’ll come later but I’ve already lost interest unfortunately.

209: wow what an incredible story. Fascinating and original plot, great characters with distinct personalities. In depth main character. There is a little bit of plot armor for the mc and his group but honestly it makes the story really enjoyable and it is still heavy. The mystery about the truth of the world and this situation is really captivating. The MC and the novel’s MC are really overpowered but it’s fun to read. Side characters are also important and build their skills as well, and also have fun and interesting personalities. The banter and connections between the different characters is fantastic, they each have their own dynamic and personality. Really fascinating story, and I love all the characters. One of my favorites.
