list - 9.5+ 60+ Fucking adoooorable!!! Oh my this was refreshingly healthy and lovely to read. These two are so in love and obsessed with each other it’s amazing. And yes in the beginning you want to smack the Seul but he does make up for it and Jun always has a soft spot for Seul, but he does stand up for himself more than the majority of other uke’s I’ve seen. Jun is just a soft fluff cinnamon roll to the max, and Seul is the type of pretty polite on the outside but quite a snake on the inside. His persistence became a bit stalkerish at one point but it all worked out for the best. A case of Jun fell first but Seul fell harder lol and his confidence and delusions were hilarious and refreshing. Nice host of side characters that had their own personalities and we saw enough to get a sense of their character traits and relationships with the MCs, but not where they took any focus away. Also very realistic and normal interactions were depicted. Seul and Jun had a good mix of horny and fluffy, and while Seul can be persistent he cares for Jun most of all and will listen to him especially if he thinks he’s hurting him. The only one I’ve actually seen stop in the middle of the act bc Jun asked him too a few times (once not bc of pain but an impending fountain lol). Seul can be quite jealous and childish as well as manipulative, but after they get together he never does anything to hurt Jun. and I think he repented well enough for his previous harsh words and rejections. I don’t think we needed any more suffering for him, it was handled well and perfectly balanced. Very clingy and doting but that’s what they both like. A very complete story with even the side stories adding some nice detail. Wishing these two lovebirds the best.

20+ This was surprisingly good! A slow paced slice of life story that just focuses on the daily lives of two high school boys and them getting to know each other as we get to know them. And before you know it you are completely wrapped up and invested in them! Sweet and endearing, well paced and well written. It has a bit of that nostalgic feeling, and very immersive in the high school experience. The strangers to friends to lovers story was very realistically told, and it felt as if I was learning their story rather than reading a comic. The characters have kind of opposite personalities, a friendly and popular guy and the introverted socially awkward one. But they are so much more than that, their characters were really nicely fleshed out with depth and nuance that made them feel very real. Tiniest bit of romance at the very very end, but at least we get a confirmation that they are a couple. 4/5

list - cotton candy, hidden gem, masterlist, 9.5+ 50+ THEY’RE SO DOMESTIC I’M SOBBING This is my favorite thing ever. So casual and comfortable, friends and roommates to lovers story. They are so natural with each other and their progression was very natural too. And they are SO cuddly and romantic and sweet, couple goals! They friendly bicker from time to time and nag and get into an argument sometimes, but they love each other so much they can’t stay mad for long. Also the whole proposal and wedding thing SOBS it was so perfect and meaningful and romantic, I can only hope someone would love me that much in the future. The definition of perfect soulmates, they were so wholesome and sweet. I really loved this.

Bad Friend

list - 9.5+ 60+ Wow this was a great read! Plot, romance, action, mystery, betrayal, love, it hit every point I wanted it to. The bickering childhood rivals dynamic was a great start, with a natural evolution of sexual curiosity and intimacy that grew to a great love nurtured by the years apart. This is a couple that would truly die for each other, and it was great to see their deep love. Even better that everything was consensual, and just the right balance of romance and steamy scenes mixed in with the plot. Great characters too with our mischievous but righteous uke and serious but smirky seme. Both strong and smart, capable and noble, with a great friendship foundation and loving bickering. Set in a world of murim martial arts that I usually don’t read, but it was really well done and easy to follow.

Paljae

80+ 93: literally amazing. Deeply entrenched in myth and folklore with an intricate story and fascinating characters. The main story is revealed little by little with flashes back to the past, and in between their journey are woven some side stories of side characters and some that become relevant again in their present journey. Characters are flawed and not only benevolent, though Ryeong has more of good and Paljae has more of evil, but that doesn’t really define them. It’s more complex than that. The depth of their love and willingness to sacrifice is amazing. It’s really an us against there world feeling, more than I will kill or die for you, it’s really the embodiment of I will move and fight the heavens for you. Moving, powerful, fascinating, intricate, captivating, incredible. Love this story so much. Stunning art and captivating story! The worldbuilding is so immersive with the references to folklore and explanations. I love that we're piecing together their history bit by bit and now coming full circle. There are a lot of dark themes in this, and plenty of violence and gore and disturbing images. Also they meet the other in child forms, though it can’t really be counted as a child. More and more as we learn about their history, I feel like these two were made for each other. Like more than just fates intertwined, they seem to be two parts of one whole. Paljae being a creature with overwhelming Yin energy, and Munryeong overflowing with Yang energy. Jae soothing the raging energy in Ryeong, and Ryeong filling the hungry void in Jae. The parallels in their repeated encounters, the mirroring in their words and fates, it's really their destiny. It's so fascinating and wonderfully written. Also, I'm very curious on what exactly Munryeong is. They say he's different from other humans because he has the "makings of an ascendent" and is filled with yang energy, but is he unique in that? Are there other ascendents who have a similar constitution? How did he come to be born and left in the snow? Even when he was an apprentice he seemed different to the others and special somehow. I'm excited to see if these questions will be answered as we unravel more of their past and future. There's still so much of their story to be told and I can't wait for the next season. TW: age gap - it's a bit tricky as neither are really human. Beginning Paljae has the appearance of a child but is mentally older as he was an adult as the heir of winter. He is just unaware of humans and emotions, but he was the same way as an adult and he was born that way and never learned as a powerful being (like a demon). Also their relationship is mainly platonic. Only iffy part was when they first met, Paljae was a grown demon and Munryeong was a child/teen. Their relationship was mostly platonic then too with learning feelings of friendship for the first time, but Paljae kissed Munryeong. That was the only iffy instance, and now they're both adults.
