Run fast and far, far, far away from this utter filth. "Burning Garbage" would be a more suitable title than "Warm Wedding". I really feel like these characters and this story are written to be hateful, solely for the sake of being hateful. There is no real story being told here; no over-all lesson to be learned; no developments, growth, or changes to anticipate or appreciate. AT BEST, you could say this is a very crappy depiction of several "fatal attractions" that drags on for way too long. Considering the cover of this comic, if I set aside the fact that the groom looks like he deserves a swift throat punch, if I had recognized that the Bride is wearing BANDAGES with her wedding dress, I might've gotten a better understanding of just how this was going to play out and might've reconsidered reading this. Anyways, this comic has crappy art. Main Characters: Insane, ego-maniacal, sociopathic, abusive, manipulative, rapist, MASSIVE Brocon ML x Weak, foolish, pathetic, "love-starved", constantly duped, and forever abused FL. This thing is chock-full of detestable characters, ridiculous developments, and stupid "secrets" that drag on for waaaay too long for no substantial reason. Story basically reads as: manipulation, lies & deceit, abuse, Rape, abuse, psychological abuse, deceit, rape, forced imprisonment, threatening to rape, lies & deceit, manipulation, emotional blackmail, forced imprisonment, rape, lies, manipulation... Then start from the beginning and repeat 50 kabillion times. There is all of ONE almost-sensible person in this story; he is the only one looking at the shit that happens and more-or-less says on occasion "hey, this is not ok." It is the ML's older brother, "Shine", who is crippled and suicidal after becoming a burn victim at the hands of the woman he loves (who of course hates him, and obsessively loves the ML). Anyway, even the almost-sane brother is complicit in the original deception that ensnares the FL, and lets shit go on way too long throughout the story; he could've put an end to things at any time but didn't because regardless of how much the FL suffered he hoped his brother would make a happy family with her so he could die in peace. *ultra-facepalm*. Even the guy that looks sane and sympathetic compared to every other character in the story is motivated by imbalanced thoughts and selfishness. Be warned that chapter 247 of this comic correlates with chapter 485 of the novel it is based on, which is filled with even more insanity, abuse, self-delusion, and rape than the comic version, if you can believe that! Note that I'm telling you ***this is chapter 485 out of OVER 2200 CHAPTERS.*** So this shit show of a comic isn't ending any time soon, if that's what any of you are hoping for. Also, this relates to spoilers from the novel (which may or may not be included in the future releases of the comic), but: "Hide yo' kids, Hide yo' wives, 'cause they rapin' e'erybody up in here." -- If you thought the constant rape was limited to the FL...aren't you a precious cookie. Pretty soon the FL's best friend gets it too from one of the ML's friends who is tripping balls on some drug; and all because the sleazebag ML started systematically ruining her life in order to smoke out the FL, and so the friend had to resort to going back to pole dancing and then gets attacked in the parking lot and raped in a car in the parking lot. Afterwards, she demands the ML help her kill the rapist, but the rapist is one of his guys so he convinces her not to report the rape to the police and says he'll take care of it. And by that the ML means he'll tattle to the rapist's grandfather, who then tells his little grandshit to go apologize. (Bonus: the dickhead rapist thinks 'she should be grateful she got to spend time with him like that' while on his way to offer his apology. Then he tries to smooth things over by showing up at the victim's home with flowers (FLOWERS!) and apologizes. When she flies in to a murderous rage (which leaves him baffled) he basically says 'hey look, I said I'm sorry, but what's done is done and I can't go back in time. You know you won't beat me through the legal system, you'll only announce to the public that you were raped and bring shame to yourself, so what do you want from me?" When she says that she wants him to die, he's like "isn't that a little harsh? even if you could get me through the legal system, I'd only do 3 years or so in jail at best, yet you want me to die?" She continues on sobbing and try to kill him. -- He then proposes to marry her out of nowhere. In the end, he leaves and on another day she settles for taking 10 million cash, and the guy congratulates her for managing to be "as valuable as a celebrity" and he walks away contented about being able to settle it with money after all. The rape victim donates all the money to the orphanage she grew up in, and then leaves the city.) And of course the crazy chick Lan YouYou or whatever her name is with the Silver hair gets gang-raped at the orders of a different friend of the ML's. (Of course, the ML doesn't think anything of what happened to YouYou even though her own 4 year old daughter ends up tending to her when she returns home after the fact). Oh yeah, and there's even a time when the ML tells his brother (after he's gone through rehab) that if he really loves Lan YouYou to have sex with her (even rape her if necessary) within a week or he'd have sex with her. As for Lan YouYou's kid. Yeah, I know it's being said that the kid is the ML's, but this is just another one of the ML's manipulative shit-head moves. The ML convinced Lan YouYou that he would be her sperm donor, but in exchange, the kid would have to be legally registered as the older brother's child. That was their deal. It's a subterfuge, of course. ML convinces Lan YouYou that he will be the sperm donor (because he knows that she will do absolutely anything to abort her pregnancy if she thinks the child isn't his), and then the ML convinces his older brother to donate his sperm instead. The older brother caves-in to this and becomes complicit in this charade, resulting in Lan YouYou getting pregnant via artificial insemination with Shine's, the older brother's, kid. After the birth, both brothers act as fathers to the kid. So Lan YouYou goes for years believing the kid is biologically the ML's daughter and only legally Shine's daughter, while both of the Feng brothers know that the kid is actually both biologically and legally the older brother's (Shine's) kid. The ML's "justification" for doing all this was so that his older brother would have a reason to live that wasn't him or Lan YouYou, which would give him more potential to be able to get rid of Lan YouYou without making Shine suicidal. (...honestly, it is almost impressive that just when you think you can't hate these characters any more than you already do, the author continues to go above and beyond in making you realize just how much more you can loathe a character) Anyway, from what I've skimmed ahead to see (since I cannot stomach reading this crap anymore) is that NOTHING gets better. The absolute Crazy that is these characters and this "story" goes on in an eternal shitty cycle forever. The FL continues to know she should hate the ML, she repeatedly recognizes that he is an "evil" "abusive bastard", and she literally threatens him to sue him for adultery and domestic abuse, and yet in the same paragraphs she STILLLLLLLLL says she loves him and is sad they can't be together as a romantic happy family, and she never does one damn thing to even try to save herself!!! The only time she ever acts decisively is to protect the offspring of the F*ing ML. -- I will say though, there was some small consolation in the fact that the FL's son grew to despise the ML after she returns from being raped by ML and he sees marks on her body (the comic skipped much of the rape and the fact that ML literally bit her till she bled in various places) and after witnessing him handcuff her (naked in the novel/clothed in the comic) to a bed after raping her. He refuses to call him "father" and ended up calling him just "bastard". But to this, the stupid FL keeps saying to the kid "I don't hate your dad and I don't want you to hate him either."). Thankfully, the kid is like "What are you saying? He keeps hurting you. He's abandoned us. He only cares about himself and the new family he created while he forgot us. And I will never acknowledge or forgive someone who hurts you." Seriously, the kid has more common sense and reasoning ability at 5 years old than this woman has mustered in her whole damn life. The kicker that I just love (sarcastically) here, is that the FL's words and behaviors are "explained" as being the FL's "kindness." Also, if you're sticking around hoping that FL will eventually realize she should be with Shine, then give up now. A few chapters in the future, the FL does say to Shine that it would've been better if she had married him. And Shine even tells her that he likes to wear white when he stands to walk now, because it reminds him of the little figurine she gave to him before. -- But the whole notion is quickly dismissed because Shine "will always be fixated on Lan YouYou and her to the ML". *MEGA RAGE FACE - FACE PALM* The fact that the idea that she 'might end up with the less shitty, morally/ethically questionable, and mentally unstable brother' is the best a reader can hope for from this manga is just pathetic. And yet STILL this flaming garbage tries to make it seem like there can be some sort of romance between MLxFL eventually. Honestly, is the Chinese culture that comics like this originate from so drastically WARPED that somebody actually thinks that a romantic relationship can come out of this shit? And seriously, it pissed me off so much that the housemaid An (or who-the-hell ever that servant b*tch was) took it upon herself to not give the FL the contraceptive pills that she wanted to take, and intentionally swapped them with sugar pills so that the FL would get pregnant against her wishes even though she knew that the FL was being deceived and sexually abused, wanted to avoid pregnancy, and wanted to divorce and leave that crazy den of psychos. And she did it just because she wanted to keep the FL in the family for the sake of the crazy, abusive, shit-stain that she had been unwittingly married to. That maid needs psychological therapy just like everybody else in this damn story, as well as a thorough, THOROUGH beat down. You don't just go around f*cking with peoples sexual health and their lives like that. Then there's the utter garbage ongoing plot (if you can call it that) where the ML becomes convinced that the FL has gotten an abortion after getting pregnant by him. This was, of course, an unwanted pregnancy that came about because of the stupid maid's tampering with the FL's contraception and the ML's repeated sexual assault. It was in no way a happy thing for the FL. Frankly, I wish she actually HAD gotten an abortion. Sadly, this FL is weak in every aspect and follows the thoughts of 'well, I'm pregnant, I have no choice but to follow through' and 'I'm starved for love, so I'll just pop out a kid to solve my problems'. And to top that sh*t off, the ML goes even more apesh*t on her when he believes that she got an abortion, increasing his abuse and rape, when he is convinced that she "has killed his flesh-and-blood" and she is a "stone hearted woman that should repent". And so his response to all this fuckery is to decide that she must be punished, and to do that he will "waste the rest of his life with her" by repeatedly impregnating her and letting her get an abortion at 3-4 months until they die. I can't describe the level of insanity someone would have to be at to think that this FL would've had a single thing to feel guilty over for having chosen an abortion if she HAD gotten one. Yet in the story everything and everyone screams about how guilty she should feel and how terrible she is for doing it Never mind all the bat-nuts crazy stuff this guy has done to her and put her through, never mind that he basically left her for dead multiple times until he heard she was pregnant, never mind that he STILL left her for dead and chose to save his brother instead of her even when he DID know she was pregnant...yeah, all that is apparently irrelevant. And it certainly doesn't mean a damn thing to the ML because, after all, he had planned on having someone else save her later and he was going to make up to her later for all the shit and abuse he put her through. (Yeah, sure he was. Fucking asshole.) Therefore, the psycho ML asserts she is a cold-hearted whore who murdered his child and deserves to be treated badly and forced to carry a new child for him (cue more assault and rape). I seriously want every single person in this story to be caught in a fire and perish. It'd be great if this story never existed. The only reason I'm still reading is because "I've already come this far", but my ability to maintain any willingness to keep wasting my time on this infuriating garbage is fizzling quickly. At first, reading this is like watching a train wreck, then after a while getting sick of seeing the same train wreck repeat itself, then feeling yourself get angry because your forced to watch the same train wreck on repeat, and ultimately getting to the point where you just want the goddamn train to explode after it wrecks because it is literally the only way to have a remotely satisfying resolution. Let it all burn. Everyone in it and everything about it. Let it end as the pile of burning garbage that it truly is.

Instead of the very typical wise, gentle, beautiful, skilled, etc. female protagonist in an asian harem that wins over the emperor (or prince, or prime minister, or whatever) from the wicked Empress, this story is centered around the wicked Empress as the protagonist. The story shows her motivations, reasoning, and thoughts as she goes around being a servant-slapping, self-centered, sometimes misunderstood (more often than not, NOT misunderstood), "Wicked Queen". Meaning that, she is expected (for certain reasons) by everyone to become the Emperor's proper wife (the Empress), but (for other certain reasons) she is married to him as a Queen (Concubine) with the belief that she will one day force the situation to be as she wants, such that she will wind up Empress. It is interesting to watch the dynamics between this woman and the man she fell obsessively in love with, the Emperor. Additionally, it is interesting that they include PTSD/psychiatric disorders as a characteristic of this protagonist. Lovely full colored art, as well. The story definitely makes you want to slap the protagonist and her husband frequently though. lol.
