Ch 36 God I cried so much around chs 10-12ish Story recap: So Willam G. Maryblood (Will) is a paladin (priest+knight). At 15 became an adult in this world, and at that time Stagnate, the God of Undeath, came to claim Mary and Blood since their attachments to the High Demon King's seal had disappeared. Will defeated the echo of Stagnate (with Gus' help initially) and released Mary and Blood from Undeath back into the cycle of reincarnation thanks to the power of Gracefeel, goddess of ??reincarnation??. Gus is protecting the seal for another 10 years, when Stagnate will gather enough power to return again. From 15 to 17 ("two years passed"), Will does lots of stuff, becomes Lord of Torch Port, is known as a Hero. Ch 36: - Will and Al (dwarf squire of noble descent) are exploring allegations of undead in the forest, meet FUCKING STAGNATE?? WHAT?? - elven/fae Lord of the Woods or something prophesied that there would be calamity and the "forests would burn" -> suspected he's referring to Valacimira, an Olde Dragon, who destroyed the Iron/Rust mountains (OG dwelling place of the dwarfs) - Will has to defeat this dragon, he's scared cause he thinks it'll be as powerful as the Echo of Stagnate and he doesn't think he's strong enough to defeat it
