ichigenme
A really well written storyline following the lives of these men over years of their lives studying and moving into their respective careers. With complex characters this story was more realistic than many yaoi, and definitely fit the ‘slice of life’ genre amazingly. I loved the creativity and care taken with many of the sexy scenes too, they really added to the whole story. Only one critique from me was the ‘same face syndrome’ which was a little disconcerting at times. But it’s easy enough to ignore as the rest keeps you invested.
Kissing
Super sweet story of childhood friends falling for each other. Haru and Kazushi had some tough moments to deal with after Kazushi confessed his real feelings for the little uke. Haru struggled to deal with the new way to look at his friend, but as he faced his own tangled emotions he started to see facets of Kazushi he had been oblivious to and started to realise just how special he was. But changes are on the horizon as the young men graduate from college and face moving in very different directions. Is it too late for Haru to tell Kazushi how he really feels now that he understands that he didn’t hate those kisses after all?
Utsumuku Shisen
This is very sweet. Told mostly in flashback style, these guys meet in the most unromantic of circumstances in hospital and went on to become very much in love with each other. The cheerful seme and more serious, introverted uke are good for each other too; it’s not just the uke who gains confidence and starts engaging more with the world around him, but he brings a sense of security and strength out in the seme as they each become confident in the others feelings.

So beautiful! I want to wrap myself in all the good feels from this shounen-ai to face the worst of days, it was just that lovely. Highly recommended story with genuine characters and beautiful artwork.
Karera o Meguru Subete
This is a beautiful story with a couple of MCs that are surprisingly gentle souls. There is an underlying sadness with the abusive drunk of a widowed father mourning his lost wife and neglecting his son but that just contrasts all the more to how much Fuji is loved by Oono and his school friends. I loved the older boyfriend for respecting Fuji’s closeness to his friends, despite feeling the pangs of jealousy. And the friends were adorable with their protectiveness and love of Fuji. Definitely a “feel good” story.
Mata Ashita
These stories are the perfect example of why I love yaoi manga; all the fluffy, happy feelings I get after finding stories with such likeable MCs not just falling in love but caring for each other. These guys were so real and genuine, I can only thank the mangaka for sharing their talent.
Boulange no Koibito
Such beautiful, supportive and loving couples. One of those manga full of warm, happy feelings
Kiraboshi Dial
An all time favourite, this is the manga I go to when I want something to tug at my heart. Kazuhiro is one of the walking wounded, only his scars are on the inside. He is tough and intimidating yet vulnerable at the same time; he has a childlike directness and deep need for skinship but lacks social skills. I love the sparks between Kazuhiro and Yousuke, how he would inhale the scent of the new doctor and hold him close, and how Yousuke started to understand what a sweet guy Kazuhiro really was.
No Color
Opposites attract in this beautifully story full of relatable characters and beautiful art. I loved the patience this rather impatient looking seme had in his gentle pursuit of his neighbour. I loved that the seme was the more emotional and flustered of the pair but at the same time he was very determined in pursuing Sakamoto. Lots of good, fluffy feels from this manga.
