Sleeps In Sunbeams's manga / #sequel(39)

Starting his law degree at University after moving on from an unrequited love, Kyouya (ex host from the Yakuza family series) meets the unsociable and cold Kiriya (Assistant Professor of Cultural Studies at Kyouya’s University). At first, these two clash but over the care of 2 abandoned kittens they spend time together and slowly start to appreciate the qualities each has. With his warmth and courage, Kyouya chips his place into Kiriya’s heart, demanding a place for himself and to be let into his past. I thought Kyouya was brave in his ability to be willing to show vulnerability and stubborn in insisting Kiriya knew that he would always be at his side. Many sweet moments of connection between the two and their character growth was really a core component of the manga. Highly recommended.

*This story begins after Pornographer.* Rio, erotic author, incompetent with technology, usually with a phone on 0% battery. And Kuzumi, hos younger lover, a slave to his new job as an advertiser with no time to write to Rio. Both struggle to work through their long-distance relationship. When Rio runs away from his family obligations and hurts his arm (again), he starts rooming with the instigator of his injury. Kuzumi, on the other hand, tries to confront Rio to do something about their relationship... but can Kuzumi find him and manage to bring him back? This was a good conclusion. Rio opened up after resisting and feeling like a fraud in his family/ someone who didn’t belong. It was difficult for him; becoming more vulnerable but tough enough to choose to be that way. The art was beautiful and I really liked how these complex characters concluded their story.

An excellent sequel to King & Prince with the pair adjusting to the different demands and expectations that come with being a couple. I love the possessive intensity of King and the touch of cluelessness that Prince has as he struggles to put his feelings in words. The two short oneshots that followed were simple smut that didn’t ring my bell, even Kaisers.

A full follow up to the oneshot XXX Allergy. Back with Mito and Shouhei (and their rabbits) as they deal with some of the inevitable things that come with being a new couple. Once again a fluffy, feel good story with beautiful art and adorable characters, this is definitely one to read and reread.

More of this wonderful couple and their family. This time there is a holiday to Hawaii and someone from Soji’s past sets the grandpa in a spin. Cute as can be and delightfully wholesome.

Taking Honjou and Kippei from shounen-ai to yaoi in this sweet little extra chapter to Blue! Blue! Blue!

The perfect follow up to Tasogare Outfocus. Seeing these two happy and loving each other makes me happy too.

A follow up story to Ookami Papa wa Hitsuji Tsura shite Yatte kuru, this beautiful fluff fest follows salaryman Yuta and the stoic seeming kindergarten teacher, Kaji. It’s just completely wholesome and yet romantic with this unlikely pair being absolutely perfect for each other.
