Skip-Kiss
One of Yamato Nase's older stories but still new for me. I found Mike to be rather difficult to like at times. He could be violent and cruel. But, finding out he had been targeted by a pedophile when he was young and vulnerable explained a lot. It doesn't matter if that sexual predator genuinely cared for Mike, he put his own sexual gratification above the needs of a child, leaving them forever changed and traumatised. Its sweet that Ham persisted in befriending his pretty seme, he was good for him, and I loved how they would be each others firsts.
Magical Travel Boy
I enjoyed the story of the two otaku, there was no power imbalance or huge age gap to make things disturbing. The last story is another matter, from the public rape to later being ok with the rapist. Life isn't that naively simple for victims of sexual assault, especially when you're young. These kind of stories are ones I hate, even more so when the reconciliation is so darned easy.
Hatsujou Eyes
Interesting stories, definitely worth a read even with the older art style which I enjoyed more and more as I kept reading. The first one had a lot of emotional intensity conveyed through the characters eyes. I also liked the touch of dirty talk from the seme and how well it worked with his lover. The second story is worth a mention coz it was wrong on so many levels that I couldn't take it seriously and found it oddly entertaining. Those poor, misguidedly proud parents and that precocious younger brother!
Sensei Nante Kirai Desu.
Some of the best artistry ever, especially Ikuta, with his glares from beneath his hair and endless blushes. I like that the uke looked his age too, right down to his mannerisms. I really enjoyed the story, having the seme in love first with the hostile Ikuta made for some brilliant clashes between the two.
Kimi Ga Koi Ni Ochiru
I loved this story. Tsukasa was intense and honest and so very much in love that I am glad he is the brother who ended up with Haru. I liked how he inspired Haru back to the bow as well, it was like a highlight on how he was good for the one he loves. Beautiful story and art and the cherry on top was the hakama! Those guys looked fantastic in those, drawing back their bows.
Dear, Crazy Monster
Half brothers Yuki and Hayato have an awful childhood background of parental neglect and abandonment. Living on their own, they only have each other to rely on and each puts all that love and desperate need to be loved in the other. That is, until Yuki scares himself with new sexual feelings for his younger brother. Afraid of his siblings reaction and hating himself, Yuki abruptly distaances himself from his brother, leaving the young Hayato confused, hurt and desperate; abandoned once again. This background sets the scene for a twisted psychopathic relationship between the brothers. Yuki becomes hyper sexual, even going so far as to sleep with older men for money. Hayato commences a relentless campaign of ownership over his older brother, ranging from restraining his brother to blackmailing and intimidating every one of his ex lovers to forced sexual submission. Reading this story, despite Hayato showing sociopathic tendencies, I couldn't help but feel sorry for this vulnerable boy desperately trying to cling to the only person he has left. Abandonment has lefft deep scars on the boy and he was a difficult to like seme. This was an uncomfortable read, but I appreciated the complexity of the characters.
Dou-imo Nara Nai
I loved both stories here. I liked that beneath the spoilt brat was a loving and enthusiastic guy with a protective and possessive streak. He was definitely better than his naive sensai at spotting the predators out there, maybe coz he was a little that way himself. The father and private secretary/ tutor were hot together. I think it was the wicked look on the semes face ^.^
Seinen Hakkaten
So sweet and adorable, this pair left me feeling all fluffy and smiles. So many little moments I loved, like the supernova blush on ch. 1, pg. 16, and that shared look ch. 5.5, pg. 36. Gah! Gorgeous!! Sequel is in Aoi Tori yori.
Kiyona Yubisaki, Bukiyona Tsumasaki
So perfectly wonderful, both of these boys were beautiful to look at and had adorable personalities. Their story was purely addictive from the first page to the last, I only wish there was more.
Pretty Scoop!
