A hot and fun bunch of short stories. I especially loved the ones with MCs who were a little on the crazy side and the story with the feral boy. This mangaka’s art is always a huge plus too, and the stories have plenty of lol moments.

A twisted story of obsessive love between 2 childhood friends. This one crosses into yandere but it has great art and some insanely sexy moments. A complete short story that was part of the “Drugless Sex” manga.

Step brothers Jun and Kazuma find conflict with each other when the younger (yet taller and stronger) Kazuma says he loves his aniki in a whole new way. Jun resists the forceful overtures of his brother, but does he really want to? Or has he too developed a hidden romantic love? There were some nice intense moments in this manga and I liked how Jun was strong enough to stop Kazuma from forcing without consent. I also loved how possessive the younger brother was. The art is old style and the story would have benefited from being longer, but for a short oneshot it packed a lot in.

Surprisingly I enjoyed this manga, despite the rape in the beginning. As the story unfolds and the supernatural elements come to light, the mangaka reveals why the seme used force and such obsessive means to bind the uke into a relationship with him. Also, by that time, the seme had ample opportunity to show his more common traits of caring, love and support to win the heart of the one he loves.

Phew! The seme in this story is a master manipulator. He falls for the high school student and flower empire heir, Kaede at first sight. As an older and successful man, I suppose it’s no great task for the seme to manoeuvre events to place the vulnerable Kaede at his mercy. It’s also no surprise that the uke falls in love with the elegant seme. It’s almost a predator/prey scenario, but I like the strength Kaede developed along the way to fight for what he wanted and excell at his craft.

A Japanese hotel concierge and a French artist, a hotel owner and his best employee, the son of an ex Yakuza boss and the older bodyguard/butler turned lover and ‘business man’. These are the three couples in this manga and as short stories they were enjoyable. I liked the connection between the first two because they had known each other for a while before agreeing to a one night stand. Only once wasnt enough and their feelings for each other became deeper. I loved that the seme in this story put the happiness of his lover above himself. It was sweetly unselfish (a rare find in yaoi). The second story was short but the pair had history together. This was a story about accepting nothing less than a strong emotional connection and was sweet because of how the employee would accept nothing but a true bond from his boss. The final story was a sequel to ‘Shitsuji wa oose no mama ni’ and is best read after that story.

The main story with Ryuya and Orito was entertaining, but it was split with other one shots that really highlighted that this mangaka likes combative couples. With the main story, Ryuya was forever angry and yelling and fighting his feelings. Orito must be all levels of hardened to withstand the constant vitriol and still be in love with Ryuya. Orito was narcissistic (not a trait I like tbh) and relentless in his pursuit. I just struggle to understand why anyone would persist with such an angry partner.

I am officially head over heels in love with this story and these characters. Subaru, the shounen loving Ikeman of senior high, lives his days emulating the male romantic leads in the mangas he loves. Newly transferred student Jinnai knew Subaru in middle school and remembers him for the bullied manga addict that he was. But these two have a friendship to rekindle, and if Subaru is feeling more racing heart beats with Jinnai than the girls of the school then that’s ok...isn’t it? Adorable story, a favourite

An irresistible pairing; Kenshiro x Aya-chan. The obsessive love Kenshiro felt for his angel Aya-chan was the best kind of obsession because it was so positive. Nothing he ever did would hurt his little catcher and Aya had the ability to always calm the beast. I loved the baseball setting, the team and other friends/rivals made along the way. While I hated reading about the cheating behaviour of the other couples, it really highlighted how Aya-chan and Kenshiro were a strong and dedicated couple who you can see being together even when they are old and gray. A recommended read with lots of funny moments and great art.

An old style romantic fairytale with a yaoi spin. A lonely prince forced to marry according to tradition and not for love and the poor but sweet boy who gets selected to be the unwitting bride. This is the kind of story where misconceptions and anger have the prince lashing out at his bride and using him cruelly because he believes that the boy he thought was beautiful is a gold digger. It made me feel super sorry for the uke to be forced and treated so coldly when he deserved kindness and respect. The prince needed to feel more pain for his treatment of his bride, I would have liked to see a bit more suffering tbh. Still, it’s literally a HEA for the pair and they are going to be alright in the long run.
